Now you're err.....cooking! :jIf you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0

I think the size is ok - you need a bit of detail! If you want it smaller, you can resize in Photobucket - click edit above the picture, then you get a resize tab with a few different sizes. If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0

:hello:  :hello:  *waves to PErcy the chicken*
(then wonders if he really is called percy cos she forgot!)
Piggy's method for cooking chicken...
KFC!!!!!!!!!!!!! ... no really....
Take chook.. stuff in roasting bag.. (on the foil shelf!!) If I have no roasting bags I put it in a smaller roasting pan and cover tightly with foil.. sometimes if feeling adventurous it gets a peeled onion up its chuff.. or a chopped leek in the bag with it.
chuck in roasting pan.. bung in oven and leave it until I can no longer bear the smell of cooking chicken .. dash in the kitchen.. peel spuds.. make mash.. add a variety of half cooked veggies and voila.. food..
None of this silly posh stuff.. garlic and thyme and butter and trying to peel the skin off the pinky juicy raw flesh.. did I mention RAW?! ... and lemon I ask you!?!?! what is this.. Lemony Chicklet??
The juices which ooze from the cooking chook can be tipped in a saucepan and made into gravy.. I slop mine in a small pan and add gravy granules once it is boiling again...
See.. very technical!!

Wednesday. I will make Mr Sparkle take progress photos and I will attempt to learn how to make them a bit smaller.
I'm quite looking forward to it, I love roast chicken.0 -

I am late 40s, female, never roasted a chicken.
No need to ... what the heck would I be doing trying to eat a whole chicken?
And I can't bear skin/bone... and other gristly nasty bits. Like that white rubbery V bone thing.
I can't even eat a meal at a table that has a chicken carcass on it, nor sit at a table where somebody's chewing directly off a bone. ewwww
But this has been a good thread. I've enjoyed the concept of cooking a whole chicken0
