They caught me only once and it did not say on the statement what it was for so I rang and asked. Few cards posted above seem to be ok
Not been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/155

did they refund you when you squealed? i'm thinking of asking: if the idea is to prevent addiction it seems disingenuous to apply the charges immediately any transactions start.

Wigglebeena, I might be totally wrong about this, but as far as I know so far, none of the debit cards have been making charges, but because credit cards work differently there is always the chance that they might charge you. Have you tried it with Switch/Maestro?

I thought about getting one of those prepaid debit cards that you see advertised, just for the sake of having another one to use! And they don't do credit checks either! But of course that could be seen as dishonest, and I'd never do anything dodgy!!!

    SC - ouch!!!
  • Aaaarrrgh, I dunno. Depressed now. Suppose i should knock twenty quid off my already pathetic total.

God, is that the time? I'm off, it's way past this young lady's bedtime!

It's not pathetic! You're £146 (£126 now?) better off than you would have been without this challenge - that's no piddling amount there!
