Blim. something's just taken the shine off my bingo winnings. anyone else noticed a minimum £3 per transaction 'cash advance fee' charged to their card for any 'deposit' to a bingo site? I certainly (just now) have.
According to my SMILE customer service advisor, this is due to a statute put on the books last September. No, she didn't know which one.
Any way around this? I'm still in the black, but rather less impressively... Is this compulsory for card providers, or optional? Are there any that don't levy it?...0 -

As far as I've seen so far none of mine have charged any fees - that's HSBC Maestro, Barclays Connect, Argos Mastercard (although they did charge interest from day of transaction rather than the usual interest free period), and Natwest Maestro. A friend got told off by Egg though because apparently they don't like gambling transactions?
Boo to Smile. Is that a debit or credit card?0 -
