Use ing Your Free Sim Cards

Options
Sorry to be a pain but i remember once seeing a thread where people spoke about what they do with their free sim cards. For example, maybe text a special code to get a certain freebie. The old mash potatoe freebie comes to mind. Also i remember seeing an advert in a magazine about a company that gives 5 free lines on the lottery if you text the number. Cant remember the code or company but it would be good to use your free sim cards for that.

Anyway if anybody can post the old thread or maybe even a new 1 id be grateful. Thanks

  • If the ones you've got are the Virgin ones with £5 credit on you could join Jamster through Quidco and get £4.27 cashback for £4.60 off the SIM.

That the kind of thing you mean?
  • yes, stuff like that

Or use the £5 credit to pay for a "Splash Plastic" card via quidco for £10 cashback.

  • what is a splash plastic card?
  • yeah, i remember starting one of these threads, you used to be able to sell them, but nobody buys them any more because nearly everyone knows you can get them for free.

But I used to make £15 a day in school selling sim cards for £1 each!!!!!

People used to buy them in big orders like 5 or 10 at a time, I remember one lad bought a total of 30 off me, I asked him what he did with them. He told me he was going to sell them, but nobody bought them and they're sat in his bedroom somewhere!

But, I use sims I've got either to text or ring people when I have no credit or to sign up to things on the internet like the ones above

No, you just need to phone in your code on the card when it comes to activate it. No need to top up with any money
