Evening all
TGIF I say ..... yawn.
Right, been working today, so time to do a recap of where I'm at for the week and see what's left. I'm just going to delete what I've done out of the lists rather than crossing them off, as you'd be bored to death (or totally unimpressed if I've done nothing, LOL).
Next week isn't going to be much for flying as we're away for 3 days, so need to be sortof straightish by the end of the w/e, but not going to kill myself doing it either.
Tonight, worked well, as before DD went to bed, I've been organising DD and DH to clear up a bit, she's much better than him, but he wielded the hoover magnificently, LOL! Only minor grumbling emanating!!
Manic Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room/Area
Level Three
Dust any extra furniture in dining area, checking for cobwebs on way round
Tuesday - Lovely Living Rooms and Safe Stairs
Level One
Need to vacuum Snug and rest of stairs
Level Two
Vacuum and wipe (if needed) sofas
Dust any areas below eye level
Level Three
Dust anything above eye level (if safe to do so)
Clear anything that shouldn't be where it is, ahem that includes that cup!
Wipe the bits next to the steps on the stairs, yours might be skirting board, edging of some sort, grab a cloth and give it a wipe
Extra Mission Tasks - as usual if you fancy tackling something else you could try one or more of these- Wipe down window frames in these rooms (inside) clean any marks from window
Level Three
Clean tops of drawers
Check through one drawer making sure only what needs to be is in there!
Thrilling Thursday - Study/PC area and Bathrooms
Level Two
Clear any clutter from desk - I did, but that was yesterday and today looks worse, LOL!
Wipe 'phones
Friday - those frightening Friday kids rooms and spare rooms
Level Two
Dusting.. the light shade, curtain rails or above the door frame.
Extra Task List
- Clean any one (or more) window that needs doing
- Do up to level 3 in any room you didn't quite do level 3 in this week
- Spend 1 hour at least with family, doing something you all enjoy
- Sort through one cupboard or other storage area, making sure it only contains what should be there
- Pack for next week, 3 people for 2 nights ... oh at least a carful, LOL.
- Pay c/c bill
- Enter receipts into MS Money and do transfers
- Insert 2 zips into cushion covers to finish them
- Go to the gym (me time
).

Was it switched on or off at the time?
If off, you have a strong chance of it being ok, if you allow it to dry thoroughly ... may take a couple of days, low gentle heat.
If on .... good luck ... it "may" be ok, but .... well ... good luckGC - March 2024 -0 -

DD2 once dropped (on purpose!) DD1's phone down the loo, we dried it out for days but it wouldn't work - sent it back and said it was faulty and they fixed it! - only a cheap tesco one!
LO was sick on OH's phone at xmas, didn't get that wet but then wouldn't work, he took it back to vodafone, they said it had got wet and blown up and couldn't / wouldn't fix or replace it - expensive sony walkman one!!
Hope yours is like the first!0 -
Just to add Tracy - think like Zed said, that was the problem with OH's it was on and kind of blew up! Best to dry it out completely before trying to switch on again!0
-
Thanks Zed and Tori
It started making a buzzing noise straight away so I think it will be dead. Just stuck it on radiator to dry, tired switching it on and it lights up then goes dead. It was a Razar.
Not end of the world but need some numbers off it, sure it saves to phone rather than sim card. Oh hum.
Jjef - Happy Birthday
Dusty - so tragic about the young lad, hugs
Lil me - well done at the weight loss
Pigpen - loving the nails
Tia - lovely flowers, enjoy them
Shell - huge, huge hugs
Think I'll go and have my bath now, minus the phone LOLLightbulb moment 15th Feb 2007:doh: Now Debt Free and plan on it staying that way!

Hi Friday people,
Happy birthday jjef, enjoy what's left of it!
Shell, a sad day, have another hug.
No flying tonight for me, I'm goosed. Spent an hour after work in the enormous Tesco and catching up on some e-mails and have really only sat down now.
I was supposed to be doing overtime in the morning but there's very little to do that can't wait so I get to lie in instead. Glad in a way as the melting snow is going to freeze tonight and I don't fancy the 18 mile drive.
The livingroom hotspot is heating up again so maybe some paperwork is in order and I should start getting my job application together. Maybe tomorrow..One debt v 100 days Part 14 £400/£400

Hello all
Quite a few bits of sad news on here, so hugs and condolences to those in need. A good book for children is "Waterbugs and Dragonflies" by Doris Stickney. My daughter found it helpful when my father died when she was 8 years old. She also asked if she could see him! The Funeral Director had worked a lot with my Dad (SA Officer) so he said to let her, because if we didn't, she would wonder why. Anyway, she did go and was fine, and insisted on writing a prayer which she read at the funeral. When Mum died last year, Rebekah is now 23, but again wanted to see Mum. This time, she wished she hadn't seen her the last time as it was over two weeks later, so not brilliant, but she put a letter to Mum in Mum's pocket as well, which helped her, but she and Jacob (16) also read a poem at her funeral. I love the feather symbol, something we use as well, but do whatever suits your children. Some need to know more than others, but let them guide you by there questions.

Evening everyone.
TGI Friday here too! What a long week. It was strange coming home and having DH home, and good what he achieved too with his day off. DS was so sweet. He saw DHs car on the drive as i was parking, and was shouting Daddy, Daddy, as i think that is the 1st time ever he has been in when we have got home.
Verdict on the cut on his head: I asked a member of staff this morning if they had noticed him hurting himself, suggesting perhaps he had crawled under the table then stood up banging his head, and the girl said she would ask the other staff what they had noticed. They reckon he was playing in a play tent on wednesday and another kid fell on top of him, and he may have caught the top of his head with his teeth, they checked him at the time for injuries and as they couldn't see one i hadn't been told. I don't personally believe this as DH washed charlie's hair on wednesday night and would have noticed a cut on his head however dozy men may be, but i just said, oh - in future, if there is any chance his head has been injured then i would really appreciate it if i was told so i could be careful with him. It still looks like a nail mark to me, but no-one is going to admit to it.
Anyway, at least i said something.
Jjef happy birthday - enjoy that wine and chinese
pigpen love those nails - pretty colour
tia gorgeous flowers, any special reason or just cause - which is the best reason.
happy weekend to the rest of you, hope we all get a bit of rest, particularly embb.
Anyway, my lovely DH has achieved today:- got turkey out freezer for dinner
- posted my 2 amamzon parcels
- fitted new bathroom door
- gloss painted our new bedroom's window sill where it had yellow patches from sun bleaching
- fitted a new kitchen bench
- rearranged the kitchen appliances
- cleaned the outside of all large appliances, and cleaned under it all while it was out
- took apart my pantry, fixing the shelves better to the wall
- cleaned it all out before putting all the stuff back
- put a plinth under the WM to stop it shaking the whole house to pieces every time i use it
- been to shops and got some milk and nice treats for this evening
- made me fajhitas for my dinner
- washed and cleaned up after dinner.
- stripped our bed and got bedding in to wash before work
- entertained charlie and done bath/bedtime routine
- chopped up some veg for fajhita dinner
- remade our bed
- got another load of my stuff ready for WM in the morning
it will be another big list for the two of us as i realised it was 96 days to my due date and the to-do list is still a mile long. But, we will also be resting, starting with choccies and a glass of wine on the sofa this evening. I probably shouldn't as i am on the antibiotics, but what the hell, a bit of what you fancy is supposed to do you good and it isn't like a bender.
