I got my Focus back from Nationwide Autocentres yesterday - full service for £127 if you are a Tesco clubcard holder.

I'm having the MOT done at one of these ambulance places that Martin recommends but I found out the other day they also do servicing! Worth a shot.

    Hey guys,

Got my car serviced today from the Ford specialist and he has done a top job. £125 for service, £10 to reseal the back light as I had a huge puddle in my boot! Finally £5 to remove my wheel locking nuts as I am getting new alloys and I have lost my wheel nut key.

All I can say is thank god I didn't go to Kwik Fit.

Thanks again for everyones helpful posts!

Also found Kwik Fit to be rubbish & i only had new tyres fitted. They knackered the tracking & wheel balance. Wouldn't touch them with a bargepole again.
i tend to go to budget for tyres,a lot cheaper than kwik-fit better choice+service

How about your location, year/make of car and type of service - would give a few guys on here an idea to point you in right direction.

However, not sure any would recommend kwik fit - I certainly wouldn't.

I have worked for Quick Fit in the past and National Tyres whatever you do dont use either of them, 99% of them have managers and staff who push for work that dont need doing and 99% of them dont have a clue what they are doing and do a poor job.

Why am I being quoted £350 (local garage) - £450 (nissan dealer) to service my 2000 micra? I have been putting it off for years as I am scared this amount will be astronomical when they start fixing/replacing this and that.

The local garage charges £50ph is that a good rate?
