  • Hi, this is my first post, hope this helps someone!

I have been trying lots of codes to no avail and the only way around it that I have found is to get a completely new email address (and clubcard too) and then use a first shop code. Seems to work.

Failing that, if you register a new account and don't do anything (with the account!) for a while, you should get sent a voucher after 3 months or so.

There's also the recommend a friend scheme - I have recommended a few people (inc my bro who already shops via tesco online) with 'fredstescomail' or something similar! 500 clubcard points each when the recommended person spends £50 on their shopping.

I saw the recommend a friend scheme - in the small print it says that they will check that it is not the same home address as your own - not sure if they do, I haven't tried it yet.
  • I keep waiting and trying codes on my account - almost none work. I've just gone to try another and found that my basket is empty, normally it keeps stuff in your basket until you checkout - has this happened to anyone else? It will be very annoying if you can't leave stuff in your basket to remind you what to buy!
  • Well we are nearly into February, and despite our 3 cards, and frequent custom (at least 4 time a week), we have not had a SINGLE TILL_SPIT.Gutted!

Hello everyone. I am sure this question has been asked a million times before, but I am getting really frustrated that I don't have as many clubcard points as some of you. I know it helps when you buy products that have extra points, but surely you can't get that many points from doing that. I saw someones signature on this site and it said that they had been collecting points since Dec 07 and already had nearly 5000 points. I spent a lot of money in tesco, but still only had 900 odd points. Can someone please explain where i am going wrong. I must be missing something, but cannot think what it might be! Any help at all is HUGELY appreciated. Thanks

The absolute best thing you can do is to check out the Paidtoshop website. The advice on there is second to none. :A

And yes, you can get a lot of points from buying products with extra points. It's just a matter of buying the right ones. You are looking for the most points for the least money. Ideally you want one where the Deals value of the points is more than the purchase price of the product.

To get you started, join every club Tesco offers - baby, healthy living, wine. Each will give you mailings with extra points coupons. :D

Remember you can also recycle mobile phones and printer cartridges with Tesco and this gives extra points too.

Consider getting a Tesco credit card - you get points on all purchases, not just Tesco stuff.

Look out for the Health and Beauty leaflets in store. They often contain an extra points coupon for vitamins, toiletries, etc.
  • Well I came here to check out if there were any new tesco codes and find that tesco haven't given any out in a while.....dissapointed, but like a few others have said, I wont be shopping there untill they bring back codes.

For those who haven't noticed there's bonus points on Johnson and Johnson baby wipes at the moment - 150 pts on a £5 4-pack and 100 pts on a £3 2-pack. With bonus points seems better than getting the boxes of 6 from Asda.

Also H&B leaflets seem to be around at the moment. This is the first time I have spotted them since before Christmas *2006* so I don't know if I've been going in at the wrong times or what... Are they a regular thing? Should I go and check shortly after this H&B leaflet runs out?

    Hello all,

Just to let you all know, I have just spoken to a manager at Tesco Clubcard and he has confirmed that the cut off date for points being sent in the February mailings is Sunday 27 January 2008. All points after this date will be for the May mailings.

I am same as most on here - NO CODES WORK FOR ME AT MO - and always have done in past. I have received the targetted "250 points on £50 spend" via email today and this works so I have placed an order using this - code posted many times before.

I too have the "triple points thing" when I check out - I meant to ask the manager at clubcard what this was all about, but totally forgot - sorry!!!

Hope this info helps someone... Steff

So how do you get this email ?

    Cheers

I'm moving over to Sainsburys delivery. It's only £2.50 if you spend more than £70 and some products are actually cheaper than Tesco.

Having also seen Jamie Olivers Fowl Dinners I felt quite ashamed of Tesco not even replying to him or showing up for a chat - let alone their ethics. Better all round for me to move away from them and it looks like it won't cost me more either...

    Money... or conscience!

I'm already doing just over 50pc of my shopping at Lidl now. Saving heaps. Tesco Express is convenient to us for top up shops but wherever possible I'm using other supermarkets for stuff I need that Lidl doesn't have.

mousy, also abandonning the ready meal culture and aiming to reduce from 8000 to 5000 food spend this year
