I wouldn't worry too much about Faliraki...my friend went there a couple of years ago looking for the type of stuff she'd seen on TV and was initially disappointed to find it all rather tame by comparison. However, she had a fab time and went back again the next year.

As long as they keep their wits about them re: not going off alone, using those little drink spikey devices etc, they'll be no more at risk than on your avergage night out at home (not sure if that's of any reassurance at all though!)

I would say Zante is a good choice, but rather than going to Laganas why not try a different resort? Tsilivi is lovely, it's got loads of bars that are open until around 6 in the morning and a great beach.

Admittedly the nightlife isn't as in your face as Laganas but I'd feel happier if my 17 year old was going to Tsilivi than Lags! (Just my opinion though) - I remember going to Tunisia as a 17 year old with my mate (not the best move in the world!!!)

Kavos was the worst holiday I've ever been on, avoid that place at all costs.

It's just a long road full of pubs but you can't enjoy walking around there at night as there is someone stood outside everyone bar who tries to stop you when you are walking past to get you to go in and have a drink, it doesn't take long before this gets on your nerves and I spent just as much time avoiding these people as I did avoiding the patches of sick on the road where young people are making a pig of themselves.

I'm far from being a snob but I wouldn't go to that dump again even if it was free, however if you like somewhere where the majority of blokes dress like a mannequin from a soccer sports window and the women (which there arn't very many of compared to men) are covered in mosquito bites then it could be just the place for you.

I was only 22 when I went there btw in a group of 8 of us, me and my other half with some friends of ours.

I agree with some people that Laganas would be a better place to go. Remember that they are trying to clamp down on English drunken tourists on the Greek Isles and I myself wouldn;t fancy being locked up on a Greek Island. How about Malia?

I am 21 and have never ever fancied these type of holidays and tend to head for a more European party place than and English one. The sight of people spewing and humping in the street doesnt do it for me lol. Im sure she will be safe and have a good time aslong as her and her mates stick together.

I had a great time in Santorini with a few of my mates but its more of an Italian/Greek/Spanish crowd.

Malia, ibiza or Magaluf She will love it. 18 to 30 is the best. There was 40 of us went over.

She will want to go to the big clubs, enjoy herself and get a tan. Does she go out clubbing? ( I know shes 17 but i did when i was 16)

Sorry just read back and seen shes booked for falaraki. Shes gonna be goingout, getting p****d until early morning and sleeping all day either in bed or by the pool.

At our age, you dont want to sight see, you want sun,sea and plenty of .....................

She'll be fine, but tell her to watch her things over there and stick together as it can be dangerous and plenty of pick pockets.

Some are going to Ibiza but im away to africa this year volunteering so wont be going away.
