Hi Donner I agree with BOB past mistakes are exactly that PAST but can I ask do you ever focus on all the good decisions you've made? There will be many, takes time to change your thinking habits but when the negatives creep in try balancing that out with all the positives and the good things you have done.
If you need any help I'll start you off, you got out of an abusive relationship, many women are still stuck in them, you have brought your daughter up on your own and from what I read doing a damn good job of it too, you have done a degree no easy feat, you are facing this debt head on and not burying your head.... Need I go on

Hello everyone! Hope everyone is well! My 'puter has been messing me about and is doing my nut in! Just a quick message before beddie byes! Apologies for any typos, Buzzby is sat right next to the keyboard and his paws keep getting in the way!
I have heard back from Martin's peeps and they are gonna be looking into the whole putting my address on the bankruptcy thingy! That's good, just worried that it may be a big black mark against my address that's all...be good to hear what they say!
Cannot wait till payday next week, yay! Really want to try and do something cheap for the bank holiday so will see what gives!
Gonna try and get some more bits on the ol' ebay this week as my wardrobe is bursting with rubbish! I seriously need to go through it big style! Emily has decided to take a few bits for herself, very odd to see that some of the clothes very nearly fit her! And some of them, well, I really should not have and should remember my age and the fact that I am not a teenager and cannot get away with it anymore! So she can have them too! I need to go through her wardrobe too as that is a state. She needs lots of new clothes so have been scouring ebay and will try a few charity shops when I can I think. Try and save a few quid that way. At least I am not buying clothes for myself anymore, that was a bad habit of mine, usually never fitted anyway! Am pleased weight wise though as am managing to loose weight well, so will get rid of some of my bigger clothes I think and that way I cannot afford to get any bigger again as will have nowt to wear!
Got given a tenner the other day for doing some questionnaire things through work, I took it to town to give myself a little treat but could not find anything! So will pay it off of my Tesco card I think! Also just realised that next week was half term and had put aside some money for childcare for her for the whole day and have now found out that there is a bank holiday so am gonna out that money towards the card too!
I really need to do that snowball thingy! Am really wanting to get a rough debt free date. Hopefully soon enough, driving lessons and other expensive stuff will be finished with so no more debt will be added. I am soooo looking forward to September as no more after school club fees, gonna be great and will be paying that straight to the cards...very exciting so just need to stay positive and keep focusing on the future.
Also wanted to say a huge thanks to you guys for all your kind words...you really are amazing and I wouldn't be able to do any of this without you all! :T I really need to stop worrying about the past and concentrate on mine and Emily's future. Even though we are feeling it moneywise, we are soooo much happier now it's brilliant! Things around me may well be rubbish, house may be a right hell hole, but I have Emily and the best dad and brother I could ever ask for and one day this place will all be in the past. Emily is truly amazing as well, even though she does drive me nuts sometimes, I wouldn't have her any other way! xxx:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0 -

Good morning everyone, hope everyone is ok! I'm sorry I haven't been about here much, everything has been all over the place the last week or so. I failed yet another driving test yesterday and have been really down. This time it was due to something way beyond my control and was exceptionally bad luck. I had to reverse around the corner and just before I was due to start the reversing, we had a freak storm and thunder and lightening too and I have never ever had to drive in the rain, the outside mirror was saturated in rain and I explained that I couldn't see a thing and I nudged the kerb and failed. What made it worse was the fact the examiner said if it hadn't of hammered down as it did, I would have passed and to just book another. That's 5 fails now and I feel like I have gone 10 rounds with Tyson
So knocked down and have no energy. I came home and tried to call my dad (he didn't know about the test) but couldn't get hold of him so sat in on my own and got really down. I have awoke this morning feeling much the same and now everything is starting to get on top of me...the house is awful, I have no money and have to go and buy Emily all of her things for camp in 2 weeks, no food in and I am starting to worry about my state of mind...I feel completely smothered and like I cannot cope with everything that is going on and that I am on my own and have no one to help me...why is everything such a complete mess. All I want is to live a normal life where I can go and do things at the weekend and live in a nice house and don't have all of these stupid money worries...will I ever see that day? I dunno...
Anyway gotta find something for breakfast, Emily had just woke up and think I have ran out of milk...oh well.
Hope everyone is having a better day than me xxx:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0 -
:grouphug: Aww Donna so sorry you are feeling carp hun. You are bound to feel down after your knockback yesterday and then , when you feel bad, everything else seems worse too. Just think how far you have come with your debt busting - I think you are amazing , a great Mum and you work so hard to make things better for both of you. Can you go for a run today ? Maybe that will help to lift your spirits. Hang on in there babe, you will feel more positive very soon I'm sure. XX El4LNothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. Sorry to hear that you did not pass your driving test. That local storm tested the most experienced of drivers.
Cling to the positive things you have.
Enjoy the sunshine this morning.

Oh I can't believe how strict they are these days with tests... When I took my test you would have still passed with that I think!!! How frustrating for you and I think most people would be feeling very down about it so don't beat yourself up for feeling so low I think its natural IMO.
When you say you are worried about your state of mind have you though about seeing the doc? Maybe they could refer you for some counselling? Never underestimate the power of talking, but I would say that as that is what I do for a job
but seriously I have seen first hand how much it can help and being away from family you may need someone unconnected to amything to offload to.
Take some time to lick your wounds that is a real downer failing again when you are really trying hard.
Take care

Hi Donner
Just checking in to see how you are?
I hope you have bounced back.
Did Martins team get back to you about the bankruptcy stuff?

Oh, honey I am so sorry to hear about your driving test. I think you should put right back in for it.
I gave you a wave as we passed the Bristol bridge, or rather sat in a traffic jam in the bad weather. Had a lovely time in Cornwall with eldest daughter, even got on the beach and managed a few drinkies, and just chilled.
Hope you are in better spirits soon. Bob xBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
