  • It's fab ain't it! Would be great to live closer to my family though too. I miss them all sooooo very much.
I am so looking forward to the weekend. Has been a hard week this week, been working my butt off! Yay to it being Friday tomorrow! Hooray!

  • We had dinner in a pub in Castle Coomb?(sp) a few weeks ago, and i think the pub outside of laycock was on the hill the red something or other, you might be right - i will ask him next time i speak. My brother's partner's parents live on the estate just past the college at the back of the train station as well. Its a small world isn't it? We also like walking in the area, and have walked around Avebury, and Silbury hill and upto the long barrows on the hill opposite. Have a nice weekend there- I will be thinking enviously of you:beer: In those lovely country pubs.:D

  • Avebury is lovely. I used to go there all the time as a kid as we used to go to see the stones and Avebury Manor (dunno if that is still there?) and we used to have great fun. That's another reason why I want to pass my test, so that I can take Emily to different places and get her outside doing something! Westonbirt is lovely too, have you ever been there? I ran my 10k race in Castle Combe, all around the race track! They used to have some great car boot sales there too! I love car boot sales but they don't seem to have any up here these days!
I spoke to the producer of LK Today earlier on! He is great! Was loevly that he called to see how I was and what I have been up to! Told him all my news and how well things have been going. I know that this is a slow process and need to stop beating myself up over it. I just get riled up sometimes as I get soooo impatient! I need to chill out!
On another positive note, one of the guys at work had said that he can get me on his insurance for £20 for 2 months and then take me out at lunchtimes to practice my manouvres! I thought that was lovely! He has said that once I practice them enough, they will become second nature and I won't get as nervous about doing them. I really hope that is the case!

  • Yes it is we were only there about 9 weeks ago-sigh- the manor wasnt open this last time though. I didn't think a place as posh Castle combe did car boots! I bet they are good ones. silly i know but i got excited when i saw it on stardust, and we spotted where we have been. My brother's company has an account at the hotel and is treating us to a posh nosh up next time (hopefully).
Glad to see telly people are following up your progress, it shows committment. Maybe we will get your autograph and flog it on E bay (there's a money making scheme for you)
Really good news about the car insurance as well, i hope that works out for you! Hope you are not missing boyfriend too much. My daughter's hubby is in the Navy and is away quite a bit- i do worry for her. They married when they were 18 and have made a good go of things with a few hiccups along the way, but both determined people so it will stand them in good stead. ( both 21) I really miss her because she was on my wavelength we could chat about anything and still do on the phone- thank God for cheap deals!!
It is a slow process clearing up debts but a fast one running them up- weird isn't it how that works. We have been on a rollercaoster ride all our life- with me being the tight one and him being the we'll have it now one!! The only time i ever did anything impulsive was to buy a new car when he traded my old one in for his car- left me without transport as he was away a lot and i needed it for my daughter!! I still kick myself about it but it is over half paid now. so i know how you feel about things because i want that andother things cleared as soon as possible.

  • I will have to go when I get driving...lots of fond memories. I have no idea how my dad used to manage things when we were kids. He became a single parent when I was about 6 and my brother was 3. My mum just did a bunk and then came back only to sign full custody over to my dad. We hardly had anything when we were growing up but we had love and that was enough! I really admire my dad for what he did and I just want him to be proud of me. I hope he is. The whole debt thing was so hard when I had to tell him the mess I was in. But it is better that everyone knows!
I am really happy that my friend is going to help me with the driving. I just need to get some L plates now!
I do really miss my fella! It's hard as obviously I have Emily and that makes usual datin stuff hard, especially now I can't go out and waste my money willy nilly! But at least I am tackling this now. I worry sometimes as I am young and have Emily to deal with so not the standard 28 year old and ca't do things like the rest of my friends but if he couldn't accept that then he isn't the one for me I suppose! I need to start building my self esteem as it is at a bit of a low one at the moment.
Def. is a slow process but it was only really a month ago that I was on tele! It's mad as it feels like soooooo long ago!
Blimin heck on the buying the car front! Bet he wasn't expecting that!
I can't wait to get paid next week. Roll on Wednesday as it's payday!

  • Naa he didn't expect it, neither did i really I dont know what came over me! (car wise)But i found myself looking at deals and then thought why not- I had the money at the time to put down deposit and thought i had the rest to clear it in 4 months. Then his goodself hadn't saved up for his tax- and that's another story. He's not bad or anything, just wants the best for his family and works hard for it-!
I'm sure emily will appreciate the value of money when she is growing up and like all of us will kick up a few tantrums along the way.My hubby's gran had a great saying- "We are the dream makers! everything a child dreams about, the parents will do everything in their power to make the dream come true. Your dreams may take years to come true, but that's the purpose of a dream maker- to secure the future. " All you are doing is everything in your power to make a secure future for Emily and yourself- Happy dreams xxx
by the way your dad sounds great.
