I too would be interested in the exact wording of the note but the "gentleman" could be an MSE poster!

If the note is malicious and nasty then its best to seek help.

What did it say and then we can form a more accurate opinion?

    Report him
He obviously feels safe that he cannot be traced from his note.
Little does he know you took photos and have his plate numbers.
Be a nice little supprise for him to have a couple of police officers turn up and question him.

I can't beleive people are saying report this to the police

It's just one piece of paper that was on your car, you don't even know who wrote it/left it for you
  • What did the note say, and report him anyway, sounds such a waste of space person. It´s amazing how many people think that a car is the be all and end all of everything.

Given the circumstances in the OP, I think we can safely assume who left it...

Of course, if he didn't leave it, the note won't be in his handwriting or have his fingerprints on the paper, hence he'll be able to clear his name when the police appear on his doorstep ;)

I can't believe you're advocating letting this bloke get away with his threats to someone he sees as no threat to himself, unless you are trying to say go for my option 3:T
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Yes we can guess who left the note but we don't know

And is it really worh police time checking the handwriting/fingerprints? Nothing was stolen, no-one was injured

If it really bothered you at the time you should've left a reply on his windscreen. Even just a piece of a4 with "LOL" in 6inch high letters would do the job ;)

Now you're talking my language:T , sorry, there are police listening, but if it was my wife or daughter, I know what I'd do.

I actually misread that, I thought you said something about a piece of 4 x4 with 6" nails through it
