Nasty note left on car window, can I go to the police?
Options
Just been to the supermarket, closed the door to my car and was walking right next to my car to get to the ticket machine when a large car pulled into the space next to to me and nearly hit me. I told him that he nearly hit me and he got a bit nasty and called me jealous of his car (
).
He walked off, I took a picture of my car and his because of the way he was parked (half in the rear of my bay) and I didn't want to some out with a blue scratch along my paintwork and I went into the supermarket.
When I came out I had a nasty note attached to my wiper  and its this that im really annoyed and angry about. I know some of you will say to leave it but its the principle of the thing. He was an older (50+) bloke and im only a 21 year old female, I feel really intimidated now.
Anyway, can I go to the police and report this or will they say theres nothing they can do and i'll be wasting my time?

i understnad you must be upset.
I think it really depends what the note says as to whether you should speak to the police or not. Is it making threats towards you?
Does your photo have this man's cars number plate in it? if not, I'm not sure how else they could identify this man?r.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -
Yeah it does along with mine, the note has a threat towards my car.:j Draco dormiens nunquam titillandus :j0

Intimidated? If it was me I'd be laughing all the way home that someone had went to the bother of writing me a note beacause they're a cr*p driver who's a few years away from a heart attack....0

Keep the photo just in case - and remember just why old men have big cars they can't handle - to compensate for the small *****s they have that never get handled!!!0

I'd go to the police - if he's made a threat then definitely consider reporting it. It'll cost nothing and provided they speak to him/issue a warning it could help him realise he can't go throwing his weight around intimidating others. Sounds like he's at the "mid life crisis" stage :rotfl:0

It would be interesting to find out exactly what the Police would do if you reported the incident and showed them the note and photo, although would expect not a lot. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

I agree, even as someone in the older age bracket of the 2 here. No one let alone a young girl should expect to be talked to or threatened like that. I know what my daughters would do:T
three options,
Do nothing?......nah
Report him?...... yes right thing to do
From his number find out where he lives and do to his car what he threatened to do to yours. Leaving a note of course?......
No,Not the right thing to do, but I know people that would and his attitude invites that kind of reactionI like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -
Report the sad old oap, with a penis substitute car:rolleyes: .He can't be allowed to bully anyone like this can he!!!   My daughter's your age and she would have been equally upset, with good reason imo;)"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

If I was you I would just let it go. Some people are just nasty arrrogant !!!!!!. I doubt the police would do anything, and it would just take your time and energy up.0
