It`s not the best satnav out there but it does the job and for £6 it`s an absolute bargain.
This link will give details of the gifts on offer:

My house (and the street it is on) is over 100 years old, yet does not appear in most Sat Nav devices. If you put my postcode in, it either comes up with the street opposite (which has a different name) or says "can't locate address", "postcode incorrect", etc
I regularly get calls from delivery drivers & workmen, asking for directions, as they can't find me using their new & expensive piece of lovely 'hi-tech' equipment. They always ask "is your house a new build?".
Erm, not quite...
In the old days, when they used to use a tiny, cheap (£4.99) black & white A-Z book, they found me everytime, with no problems.
Go figure!
Same problem here. Our house is 500 years old. We needed the fire brigade out not long ago and they were looking for us 1 mile away because that's where their SatNav told them we were!!!0 -

Any advice that you receive from me is worth exactly what you paid for it. Not a penny more or a penny less.0 -
Ive been trawling all the sat nav forum boards for weeks now - until my head aches - trying to get a feel for the best sat nav for me - just uk, need large screen - some of them are TINY - speed cameras and voice direction - (slap round the head facility my OH reckons).
I have after torturing myself over the best buy just ordered the Garmin Nuvi 200W from this company - which seems to have good deals and feedback - £116 + £6.50 pp. Halfords have the 200 for £99 and the 200W for about £125. (The Garmin 300 would have been my choice BUT for the fact it only has the standard 2.8" screen - the 200W has a 4.3" screen). I know this isnt the cheapest offer but if you read reviews on some of the cheapies - (oh and dont buy the cheapie one on ebay £55 ish plus £25 postage - there is a whole forum set up about that one not working for hundreds of people!) then I think the nuvi comes out the best for a low cost. Oh and this month they are offering a free upgrade from the 200 to the 250 - which includes european maps.

I have an intempo buddy sat nav and I love it... struggling to update it on the new roads etc (but sure I will crack it soon enough), but very quick to recalculate if turnings missed or floods!!! I recommend it to anyone.. Have tried the top of range tomtom and quite frankly its rubbish! lol0

I bought one from Halford's last week.Ordered it online £123.99, collect in store. Used it to navigate me in London-brilliant. Garmin have an excellent reputation and make GPS systems for the marine industry, so I thought I couldn't go far wrong with that.0

I have a Navman 610,which I bought 3 years ago for £299,so it shows you how much they've come down.I then went on to buy a 3 country unlock key,for a further £100,which I got for France,Spain and Andorra, and an SD card, and when we went to France,it never let me down, and I had never driven on the right hand side of the road before, and I too am a lorry driver.
I also get free lifetime subscriptions to the Pocket GPS Forum safety camera database,as I submitted many cameras to them in their early days, and get the update as soon as it comes out.
However,I too am looking to upgrade,so it looks like my Navman could be up for sale also, and it's been well looked after, and comes with the pouch, box, and instructions.
I think a TT could be useful for me,as I do like the idea of the touch screen, but I believe that TT also do a POI capture, which would give very accurate locations of any new cameras,as I pass them.I need to look into which model this would be available on.
Ken.That's my mutt in the picture above.0 -
I like the sound of the TomTom Mapshare & ability to update maps as you go. AFAIK none of the others do this?0

Yeah you can add POIs with one touch on the TomTom, handy for adding loctaions on the go. You can then edit the specific details when you are ready to.0

Hi, Please Remember If You Are Buying A Sat Nav That A Safety Camera Is Completely Different From A Speed Camera. I Have The Rac Version Satnav But It Only Lets You Know About The "safety Cameras" (the One's At, Or "perched" On Top/at Traffic Lights) As Opposed To The Red/yellow Stripey Speed Camera. The Rac One Is Still A Nifty Straightforward Satnav For £99
