I won't compromise on toilet rolls, bread and nice coffee
  • Shampoo (it's nearly £5 but lasts about 8 months)
Eggs - I only buy organic or free range eggs - the taste difference is amazing, and as I eat eggs a lot I want tasty ones!

That's it, I eat value products frequently and very little meat, I prefer Quorn and tofu ;)
KEEP CALM AND keep taking the tablets :cool2:

Having notched the thermostate down a degree and cut the time its on by half an hour this morning got me thinking about were I wasn't prefared to cut back.

So far for our amily its been loo roll - no-one can stand the smart price stuff so its back to nice soft white for us.

Also I will only by good quality bath stuff, shampoo, creams etc. No parafin/ petroleum or sls as I find it irritated mine and dd's excema so Lush, Neals Yard, Tesco's Natural range etc. I'm happy to make cut backs in other areas to fund it though!

I buy cheaper cuts of good quality meat and eat less of it rather than buy 'cheap meat'

I'll add this to the existing thread on compromise to keep ideas together ;)

  • I wouldn't compromise on Eggs - it has to be Organic Wholemeal eggs

I can buy value stuff as long as it is raw but wouldn't buy any cheap processed/tinned food - other than Tomatoes as find the expensive ones too thick for our liking. We always bulk buy stuff when good quality ones are on offer.

Have used a value tea bag today and have found it fine. Though DH wouldn't touch the stuff . It has to be Yorkshire for him....

    I've never heard of these?
Life is too short to waste a minute of it complaining about bad luck. Find joy in the simple things, show your love for those around you and be grateful for all that you have. :)
  • Sorry, I meant free range... I am eating a wholemeal sandwich just now... so mixed the two... :D Well spotted :T

Just a quickie for those of you who like decent lav roll :)
Has anyone else noticed that the quality of Tesco Luxury Soft toilet roll is really poor these days? The last 2 packs I bought have been really thin and quite rough so I definately won't be buying it again
Sod you Tesco, someone else will get my poop-money
  • Has to be Heinz Beans and Ketchup for me - nothing else compares!
    Also
    Tetley teabags
    Nescafe Coffee
Diet Coke - only buy it once every couple of weeks but it has to be the 'real thing';)
Morning Fresh washing up liquid, but it is cheaper than some of the other brands anyway,
    Green Giant sweetcorn
free range eggs - from local farm shop
