Sue & Debtfree, what a wonderful weekend! So glorious to feel the sun on ones face. Stourhead was as gorgeous as ever. Every time I visit, the beauty of the place just astounds me. I've posted some pictures taken last year, I hope you like them.

On Sunday we went to Studland, another scenic walk had by us all. When I'm out walking looking at the nature around us, I feel like my batteries are being recharged. How lucky are we, living in such a scenic country? At Studland we walked for hours.

I must admit, I'm pretty worn out.

We've got to take my dear FIL to hospital tomorrow for his chemo. The chemo wont lengthen his life, but it's giving him a better quality of life. He has had some bad days this week, so they might refuse to do it. They've done that a few times before. Every Monday he goes to the hospital for his chemo, & so far every week he has lost weight.

Fingers crossed he's put on a pound or two!

  • Ill keep my fingers crossed for your FIL, hope everything goes as well as it can :)

The photos are lovely, make me want to go there even more!

I have been out walking the last 3 days, the weather has been beautiful and made the effort to enjoy it whilst it lasts. Yesterday I managed to make a 3 mile walk turn into a 5 mile walk due to parking in the wrong carpark :rotfl: we parked in milford-on-sea instead of keyhaven which is around a mile away oops! this afternoon I have been on a 5 mile walk around Hamble which was lovely.

Have been looking at organising a sponsored walk over a weekend from Southampton to Winchester (and back again) for next month, which is around 14 miles each way!

    Hi girls,

I'm so pleased you both had such a great time, us too in the beautiful weekend. It's amazing how the names we also visit keep cropping up on here, we love Studland and Keyhaven and all places around there as well as the N Forest. A small world again. Thanks so much for putting those superb photos on isualive, our lad always says Autumn is the best time....trouble is he says it about every season he goes there!

The very best of good fortune to you FIL isualive, I do hope he's put on some weight and will feel a little better this week. I've never forgotten his name and admit to sending up a prayer for him each night, all of you too as you're his loved ones!

    All the best, Sue. xx

the following weekend is my brothers birthday (the only non fundraising related stuff) 15-16th will be my sponsored walk

Easter sunday our local asda is holding a carboot sale which starts at 9am which is a lot more appealing than our other local boot sale as wont have to get up at 5.30!!

My FIL has only lost a pound this week, so that's good. He looked dreadful after his chemo, not good as he's had a rough few days as it is! Here's to a brighter week!

I've never been to Keyhaven! The New Forset I've been to a couple of times, a glorious place. When I got married 5 yrs ago, we spent our honeymoon there.

Reading your last post Finallydebtfree has worn me out!:rotfl:

A step in the right direction to keep him from going down hill any more rapidly than he already has done. Try to encourage him to eat all the things he really enjoys whenever he feels a little hungry and let's hope his weight might just rise a little too. Is milk any good for him, or does he like it? Just trying to think of foods to help gain that all important weight. My FIL drank at least 7 bottles of Lucozade a week when he was ill with his cancer and the Drs swear it all helped keep him live longer as it gave him the energy to fight on - for a year longer than he should have done!

Thanks for letting us know and all good wishes for the week ahead.

    Sue.
