Unfortunately cancer is in most families. Cancer Research Uk are an excellent charity. http://www.cancerresearchuk.org/

My cousin was 18 when diagnosed & recently he was given the all clear, after spending a long time battling Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. He is now aged 23 & at Uni.

Both my grandparents died of cancer.

I am not a fit person, but I hope to run some of the distance, if not all of it, who knows!

If you would like to donate or better still do it with me the details are below:

Good luck to all taking part in this year's Race For Life. I'm doing the one in Eastbourne in June. Racing in memory of my Grandad and my Great-Auntie who were very important people in my life and who I miss very much.

Like isualive, I'm also looking for some support. If you feel you could help here's the link

A very sad time for you all, isualive and having lost my own FIL to the same evil disease, I completely understand what it's doing to you all and what you're all going through. Be strong for him and I hope he enjoys as many good times as possible until the good Lord calls him.

Good luck isualive, you too scuzz, unfortunately I can't (at the moment) sponsor you both but have chosen to go with isualive as your FIL is the same age as me!

All the very best and I hope the run/walking goes well for you both.

    Sue.

  • I'm doing my second Race for Life this year in Edinburgh. I'm running in memory of my lovely uncle and granma. My 9 year old dd is taking part too. So I'm going to be really cheeky and ask any generous MSE'rs to consider sponsoring me (or someone else who's running, its all going to the same place! :))

(Edit: changed my mind about adding my link, as it has family info on it :))

I hope to run as much as I can, who knows, might even run it all!

I haven't worked out a training schedule yet, but my 16 stone sister in law is doing it with me!
