Hi All.
Wow thank you all so much for your kind words.
Had bf turn up home yesterday at lunchtime after his boss deemed him too ill to work so he was in the way yesterday - um.......i mean resting all day on the sofa int eh living room.
Little one is his bubbly self again today but hes passed his bug onto me which is no help becuase i was ment ot be at the dentist today adn she wont do any work if your ill. Great had to reschedule for 3 weeks time.
Ladyra - stovies is pretty much what the link shows that was given by............um..........Judi. I tend to put the onion in a pan with a littel bit of butter (you could use oil though i guess, then brown off the mince, drain the fat out - we dotn liek it here much, then add in some made up gravy to cover, then bung in some raw peeled and cut up potatoes, bung a lid on and leave for half hour or unti lthe potato is cooked. Its really nicena di know you can add bacon if you lik ebut its nice and warmign liek this and with a nice chunk of homemade bread or rolls to mop the gravy up afterwards - oh heaven on a cold day
hope that helped. Ive still no idea waht to spend the £50 - wasnt sure if it came in money or as vouchers. Dont know - will haev to have a think - told bf last ngith and he said make sure you treat yourself and dont spend it on him, ben or bills...................so im off to have a think nowTime to find me again0 -

Thanks all
im totally stumped - i never spend money on myself. I tend to buy thigns for ben and the bf or pay bills with it. Even if it is money thats been given to me - like my dad gave me £200 for my birthday - i brought ben things he needs for schools and paid for a TV license. Needless to say he was most unimpressed when i eventually told my father what id brought.
so £50 to me is like a small fortune and im lost what to spend it on. My kitchen is tiny so although id love a bread maker i REALLY do not have the space , my sides are crowded as it is, the cupboards are full to breaking, and on top of the cupboards is where all my curent pots, pans and things are stored so any form of kitchen appliance is a no no.
Clothes wise im good - got a nice new winter jacket for christmas from the bf (ok so it cost £40 which i thought was alot) but he was looking at payign £100+ for one for me and i told him not to because that was a ridiculous amount. im not really a material person - im happy with my lot. Although thinking about it i do need apair fo trainers - but even these cost me no more than a £10 in shoe zone! Anything ive ever had that was alot or had brought for me that i know cost alot makes me anxious and i hate the fact that its expensive and impractical. For example - bf saved for a few months and got me an Xbox 360 for chrismtas - and dont get me wrong its good fun to play on but i hate the bloody thing - £300+ that could have been better spent paying bills and gettign ahead for once!
Someone help! what the flip am i supposed to spend it on??Time to find me again0 -
Hang on to it sammy until you either really need something or just see a 'must have' something or other...............or maybe put it towards a holiday ?Mary
