    Hi Sammy

What about putting it away until the better weather arrives and have a nice day out somewhere with your BF and little boy? Take lots of pictures and make some lovely memories, that you will keep forever.

    Well dones and enjoy:A

  • Well done Sammy-Kay,
your thread has been an inspiration to me I have challenged myself to make from scratch this month while staying within my budget. DH was ok with this he is enjoying trying all my home baking.
Thank you for making me realise that despite being young(ish 28!) its good to know how to cook and provide for my family. :T
    Love a charity shop bargain
  • Hi Sammy_kaye :hello:

Well done on winning the £50 :T - if you are stuck for an idea on how to spend it - how about treating yourself to a pamper session somewhere - a massage, facial or manicure or whatever you feel like.

Hope you do treat yourself with it - but whatever you do - enjoy it...:j

 You are a real inspiration Sammy, I'm twice your age, and probably have 1/4 of the will power.

I'm really enjoying following your thread, you should be very, very proud of yourself, and you deserve a treat, please try not to absord this into the house keeping unless you really have to.

What about asking a friend to babysit Ben, and go out for a slap-up meal? Or a fun day out with BF and Ben when its warmer and lighter?

However you spend it, please enjoy, its well deserved.

Put it in a high interest account and wait until you need it then if you don't need it now, doesn't seem any point in spending it for the sake of it.

Can I just add my congratulations....

I lost this thread for a little while and just found it again when you are celebrating your post of the month win. Well deserved too!!!

You are doing things the way I would love to do them when the time comes for a little baby to make hubby and i a family.

    Well done again!!!
  • Hi, Sammy Kaye,

Well done on the £50 - just try to spend it on yourself. Having said that one on my challenges to myself this year is that if I get any money throughout the year I will put half in a savings money box and keep half aside for me. This usually means something I've spied in a charity shop or in the sales but it makes me feel better knowing I can buy it without messing up the monthly budget.

    love this thread.

a slight varitation on twink hobnob's.

once i've made them i melt down some chocolate. either glaxay or cadbury dairy milk.( it is usually either of these as since being preg i find all other choc bitter) and once choc emlted i spread a little over on 1 side. and voila Chocolate hob nob's.

they are gorgeous and make a nice change. my daughter loves putting the choc bit on. well should i say my daughter loves licking out the bowl once it is empty, lol.

ooooh naughty!! i am going to have to try those now! :rotfl:

fab thread sammy ,well done :T
