There are three ways to get something done; do it yourself, hire someone or forbid your kids to do it.

No, the park is closed, only the waterpark within the hotel is open.

Looks like the price has gone up to £138 ..
  • We went this weekend just gone booked with last minute. It was excellent, stayed at the alton towers hotel this time (splash landings last time) it was a much nicer room and bigger. Friday night there was a magic show and pirate themed kids party (take your pirate outfits). Sat night, caribbean party at the water park and live singer in the alton towers hotel.

Breakfast both mornings, buffet style excellent choice (was a large queue later in the morning) get there for eightish. We didnt eat at the hotel, learnt from last time! It was very poor last time and very expensive for what it was, we went to Pizza hut one night which is about 10 miles away and its right across from tesco to get some midnight snacks / alcohol.

We went to the waterpark sat and sunday even though our pack had tickets in for just one day, we went to the waterpark desk and showed them our registration card on the second day saying the tickets werent in our pack and they give us tickets no questions asked. We stayed in the waterpark for a couple of hours each morning as our toddler was tired, plus on the sat we were all evacuated out of the pool because someone found a poo and we all had to watch the poor girl fish it out! yuk - so we made a sharp exit and tried the extrordinary golf (£5 each for adults) which was fun, they even had plastic clubs for our toddler which it was free for and he loved it.

Couldnt complain about anything really except for the internet connection, paid £15 for the weekend and it was timing out after 1 min, so we got our money back.

    Overall a great weekend!

PS. i was put off the waterpark party on the sat night coz i thought i was gonna have to wear a cossie! but you can just go in your jeans, its a party around the pool, the pool itself is closed.
