  • Has anyone been to the Lincoln store, is it worth a visit tomorrow? Thanks

As a newbie i know that questions get lost, but it is like a lot of threads on MSE it has a busy time of year and this is the one for boots. after the sales it will definitely die down i'm sure.
    now mum of 4!!!
  • I agree whole heartedly with pcg and crazy, the thread has become a bit mad and it's really easy to find that in 2/3 hours 5 or 6 pages have been added and it's really hard to get thru all the posts. I have been posting on here for over a year (different username) and if I see a question I can answer I do.

I have to admit that I haven't been on here as much as I used to and that is purely because it moves too fast, so usually a quick scan of the first post and then the last couple of pages is all that I can manage and if I see a new glitch mentioned I go back to try and find it.

I initially felt it was a bit cliquey when I joined MSE but it really isn't and if you don't get an answer to your question, post again until it is answered.

I agree there should be a thread for chat and a thread for glitches but it won't work, it doesn't on the Tesco threads you always get people who are asking questions in the codes thread but that's inevitable.

If people are talking on here about a glitch thou' maybe it would be helpful for people to put the post number of the original glitch so it's easy for people to find, it happens sometimes and is really helpful.

I love this thread and all the helpful people that post because I should imagine that for every person that does let us know what's happening there are 50 that don't, they use the glitches, advice and whatever else that they can get but never hit the thanks button or post a great deal themselves.

If I offend anyone by my little rant then I'm sorry but I do feel much better now.

AND as a final note the No7 'sunless tanning kits' have gone down to 75p and you still get the highlighter:j
  • the xbox is online only and I was told by CS this morning that unfortunately they will not be getting any more in, so maybe the same for the PSP and camera as well.(if anyone does have a spare xbox though, please, please, PM me) - thanks

I've never bothered with the next day delivery. If my order is less than £40 then I usually try to top it up with essentials that are on offer like shower gel, toothpaste or nappies to qualify for free delivery. My orders have been reaching me within 2days, much faster than usual. I did have something arrive the next day too which was free delivery.
Speaking of which...I've just had my order from the 22nd arrive which was free delivery and one item from yesterday which I'd paid standard delivery on (order was less then £40, just 1 item) arrived with it.

Mmmh what will I use tonight.........so much choice????:D

My Physio starts on Monday ,do you think they will count a visit to 90% sale in Boots as part of my exercise regime:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Unfortunately although there is a Boots quite close to the hospital ,its not quite close enough for me to hobble .....yet!

I love this thread but as I haven't been to Boots much recently I haven't been posting much as I didn't have much to add.It is usually very friendly.Maybe everyone is a bit frazzled with the sale.
It is difficult when you are faced with 6 or more pages to read ,I must admit I tend to assume that someone else will have answered the question in the following 5 pages .
Thanks to Crazyposhgal for all her work updating the first page:T

I have some £5 vouchers to use up so hope OH will take me to at least one Boots at the weekend to hunt out some free or nearly free goodies:D

By the time I go back to work I should be well groomed with great skin :rotfl:
    :j I love bargains:j
    I love MSE

Fingers crossed that there will be!

  • I've dipped in and out of this thread a few times, but have gone on it daily in the past couple of weeks since the H&B at Tesco has died out.

The quick pace of the thread makes for interesting reading and kind of gives it a community atmosphere IYSWIM.

Crazyposhgals first post is a godsend when you don't have time to sift through the posts (Thanks Posh! :D).

I think that Boots deserves it's own sub-forum......after all even Argos has it's own!
