Yes we all should. Even more basic - how about an order being safely locked if you have completed payment, had 'order received' then 'order being processed'.

Thats the basics ,they should be getting that right:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Its very unfair to customers who rightly assume what they have bought and paid for IS ACTUALLY going to arrive!

I am getting fed up putting invisible items in my basket!

They are getting as bad as M&S

PS I think there is a MSEr from the DFW board on GMTV / LK tomorrow with Martin................might be worth tuning in after you check out the non existent items on .com:D
    :j I love bargains:j

Hi All - I've been reading this site for a while now - thanks to everyone for such fantastic posts. I too have been having trouble trying to place on order online and got that hissed off with the whole process (including having to scroll back up the page you were viewing to get to the next page - which although still showing as "in stock" items, actually had none!) that I spoke to CS and the very kind lady admitted they'd been experiencing lot of problems and in way of apology, gave me 1000 points. Would rather have had the bargains I was trying to order but £10 worth of points lessened the trauma! BTW, is there anyway we could put our local Boots branches near to our sign-in names - I often read threads with fantastic offers but never know to which branch they refer. Sorry for such a long post - will try not to do it in future!

  • Nothing I need on Boots online just now but seems to be 78 items in the sale. Little Cars bike for £14.99 instead of £59.99 seems a brilliant bargain. Hope this helps someone.

Sorry just noticed when you try to order something it says out of stock. Apologies for getting anyone's hopes up.
    If I had known then what I know now . . .

I have just had a boots delivery of more stuff from the 75% off sale. I was really excited to get my hands on the no7 artists pallette., reduced to £12.50 from £50. I have just opened it to find that it has two identical trays of eyeshadows/lip glosses! Its supposed to be this tray on the top and eye liners, mascars, blusher etc on the bottom tray :(

I think I may officially hate Boots! :(

I can't even add things to my basket that are in stock so I can't order anything online.

And as for shopping in store..... there is always some reason for everything to go wrong!! I read about you lot making 25p purchases and then getting free highlighters etc...*sob*

For those of you who didn't see, in the previous thread before it was locked, below are the details of my first attempts at 'bootsing':
My goodness Bootsing is soooooooooooooo much harder than it sounds!!

My friend and I set a budget for each other when buying gifts of £5 and then we compete to see who can get the most stuff! Her birthday is coming up so I thought I would see what I could get from Boots.

Yesterday I visited my local store and was hoping to get a bargain or two.
I got the following from the machine:
    * Free botanics bathing miniature when you buy any full size bathing product.
    * 100 points on the Botanics bath, body and face accessory.
    * Free 17 make up wipes when spending £5+ on 17 make-up.
I picked up several items of make up in the sale - foundation £2, 2 eyeshadows £1 each and a lipgloss £1 but they had no wipes left in stock so I decided to put the make up back although I felt embarrassed doing so!!
(I was going to make up a hamper with the items for a friends birthday)
Also after looking around I saw a nice gift set in theBotanics range with bubble bath, and 2 other bath products and thought it would work out that it cost £4 instead of £5 because of the 100 points and then a product free so I could put all the items in a hamper instead of the 17 stuff.
However when going through the till neither of the coupons could be used. After attempting to put the coupons through the SA had a look on the vouchers and said 'oh these state that they cannot be used when buying gifts' and gave me the vouchers back. Now I didn't realise that these vouchers could not be used on gift purchases!!!
I am just a learner after all! :D

Today I went to the Metro Centre and I returned the Botanics stuff seeing as that was a full £5 spend and would mean I couldn't get anything else for my friend.

My MIL (to be) owed me 600 points as I bought something for her off my card - so I decided to get a No7 lip gloss and body shimmer set for £6 from her card so we were quits but I had the voucher for free No 7 Highlights and was advised that I couldn't use any vouchers if I was paying using my card so said I would pay with credit card instead.
Anyway after scanning everything the coupon would not work because it cannot be used when purchasing gifts!! So I left the highlight as didn't want to pay for that as I wouldn't normally pay as much for something like that.
Anyway the mouthwash we were charged £1.99 instead of the 99p advertised and also I used 2 skincare vouchers for 2 Time Delay products but only one worked so was charged for the second item and didn't get my voucher back! :(

What a faff on! I don't know how you lot get all of these bargains!! I am sooooo jealous!! :(

But today I had to go to Town anyway so I thought I'll try again!!
Oh dear. Wish I never bothered.
Security Guard followed me around the full time I was there and I just wanted to cry I felt so intimidated!! Anyway there was nothing left that I could get for free with my next £5 voucher so I got Time Delay Line Smoother and paid 50p towards it.

I attempted to use these coupons again:
    * Free botanics bathing miniature when you buy any full size bathing product.
    * 100 points on the Botanics bath, body and face accessory.
I bought Botanics Face Scrub and Botanics Moisturising Lotion @ £3.99 each BOGOHP so £3.99 and £1.99
Botanics Bubble Bath @ £3.50 and miniature body lotion for free.
BUT the 100 points voucher only works on accessories! It is not worded very clearly as I thought it meant any bath product, any body product or any face accessory!!!
And the free miniature didn't work as the bubble bath was an aromatherapy one so I said well I'll leave that and take the £3.00 body wash instead but the body lotion was not allowed to be free either as it had to be a bath product so the manager swapped that for shower gel for me instead.
I also got a No 7 eye palette and a No 7 lip palette @ £2.00 each and fragrance @ £2.50 and to my disappointment they didn't go through at 3 for 2. AND my branch doesn't stock the highlighter so I never got that either!!! :(

    I am so disappointed.
As my store does not stock the free 17 wipes offered on the machine nor the No7 highlighter offered in the magazine you would think that we would get a different special offer or something? Or that maybe the machines would give offers specific to your store or something??

I give up now though because over the last week I have spent a lot more money than I planned to and have not been able to take advantage of almost every offer I have had. It's not very MSE at all! lol

Sorry for ranting - but just a warning really to anyone who for any bizarre reason would want to use the Peterlee Boots!! :D:D:D

  • went to boots in leicester to use my 2 £5 off skv's asked the sa which products could i have as i was having difficulty finding products that had the £5 off she came with me and eventually i got the ROC cleansing wipes which were £5.99,ok, then i had the free illuminater voucher, saw some lipgloss palettes that were reduced to £1 so picked them up and went to pay, "sorry madme the illuminater is not free cus this pallett is reduced i argued the toss and then the sa next to her said not to be used in conjuction with any other offer,oh !!!!!! i thought so then i did what someone said on here, buy a 50p tan wipe and that will go through, the sa said "you wont get the illuminater with the wipe, isaid whys that then, and she said cus its only 50p, itold her to scan it and see and i worked!!!!!!! i felt so smug, i wonder how she felt?:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Anyway... on a positive note..... :D

    The Botanics BOGOHP...
the bodywash went through at £3.00, the miniature went through at half price which was £1.00 then £2.00 was taken off for the free miniature voucher so really you pay for the minoature and get the full price one free! lol

Yeah something worked for me! lol
Well I am well over my £5 budget already so probably won't take advantage of that again anyway.
But it was just under £8.00 altogether for about £13.00 worth of Botanics stuff anyway.

I am more sick of the embarrassment at checkouts than anything else! lol
