Argh, can't believe that they updated the sale items today! I though they didn't bother on a Sunday. Come on then girls (and maybe boys?), what did I miss???

Although I've been loving the bargains I was partly relieved that they didn't update yesterday (I was working anyway but I got DH to get up and check) because I thought maybe that's the end, no more 5am wake ups!

Sadly, I expect they will do nothing. A SA told me to !!!! off (just before Christmas) - I could identify him as he had served me and so I had his unique ID. CS said they would contact the store and the manager would call me - which he never did...

    I guess you pay peanuts...

  • I complained to CS last year after I was rudely spoken to by the duty manager of my local store. The duty manager tried to embarass me in front of other customers by speaking in a patronising and rude manner to me about why I couldn't use certain vouchers with my transaction (despite there being nothing on the vouchers to contradict this). It was more her tone and her delight in being able to embarass me that compelled me to call.

I spoke to CS and told them I wanted to make a formal complaint. The final result was that my complaint was recorded and I was awarded 750 points 'compensation'

The whole point of CS is to deal with customer complaints...it doesn't hurt to voice ur concerns, particularly where I'm sure many others have been treated the same way.

    HTH :D
  • looked through the window of slough boots (didnt go in before cinema, was shut when i came out) on the front shelf they had some ted baker speaker sets, boots mens toiletry sets, bath sets and mateys bubble bath. im assuming thats all theyve got left as these were previously at the back of the store and lots of different tb sets were at the front before. i dont mind as its the speaker sets i wanted and bath salts :D hopefully they'll still be there tuesday!! :)

I wrote to complain when a young security officer physically pushed his way between me and my daughter (both of us wearing smart clothes after meeting on her way home from school - she's a teacher, not a pupil) after having followed us for 10 minutes. I got a voucher, an apology, and a promise of 're-training'.
  • Hi, while shopping today I had a Boots survey tillspit, never had one of these before in all my years of "Bootsing". Has anyone esle had one? Are they just very random, and thats why I have never come across them?

Hi CharlieMumof3 - yes I got one of these a few months ago - I thought Boots were 'tracking' me  but the sales assistant says the till just randomly throws them out, and I think there was a chance to win something if you filled in the survey....altho i never won anything but good luck to you!:j

I found another problem with the lack of specific information on what products are and are not included in the free £5 facial skincare voucher offer today.

I tried to use the voucher against a pack of 2 Sanctuary muslin face cloths (£4, from the section where the sponges, body buffers and things usually are) . I took them to the till and told the young, male assistant that I wasn't sure if they were included in the offer and would he scan them to see, please? He pointed to the list of brands on the voucher and said "it's all that stuff", so I replied, "well, those are a Sanctuary product, they are labelled "Face" on the front and it clearly states on the back that they are a skincare item". He put them through the till and although it didn't beep, it apparently did not work. He sat looking confused reading the terms of the voucher for a minute and then, apparently unable to find a reason for it not working he stared at me blankly and said he was sorry but that item isn't included. I said I'd leave them then and he handed me the voucher back.

As I said, the voucher states "Sanctuary Facial Care", the cloths are labelled "Face" on the front of the packet and on the rear it specifically mentions skincare and desribes how to cleanse the face using them, so I'd defy anyone to argue that they don't count under the terms of the offer.

I would have argued it had my bf not been loitering nearby looking cross, but I may well go back and speak to a manager about it tomorrow. I feel a bit crabby at the moment anyway.
