Hi where does it show you on boots online how many items they have left.

Also does anyone know when 90% sale starts online

    Thanks:o

**Should have made this clear. This message is not aimed at the people quoted, but at everyone who does this checking. My apologies to the people quoted, not personal to you, just an example**

I really cannot understand why people are doing this stock check thing.

Surely it is not really adviseable to keep 'checking' stock in this way. Every time you do it you are reducing the stock and therefore when people try to REALLY buy that item, they cant (Because 99 of them are in your basket). The fact that it may go back into stock when you adjust your basket, will not be known to them, so they have lost out.

If lots of people do it all you are doing is moving stock around, and depriving each other, and everyone else.

Perhaps that is why there are so many posts each morning saying that stock sells out really quickly. It's being passed from basket to basket for an M.S.E stock check, before finally someone does manage to buy something.

Do you really need to know how many sets of Barbie or whatever are in stock?? What difference does it make anyway, if you only want a couple. I'd suggest you let Boots do the stock check and the customers do the buying.:D :D

Putting something in your basket does not stop someone else putting in their basket, as most of us have found out its the person who gets through the checkout first gets the item.

Hi, while shopping today I had a Boots survey tillspit, never had one of these before in all my years of "Bootsing". Has anyone esle had one? Are they just very random, and thats why I have never come across them?
    Thanks

Yes, I got a survey tillspit a couple of days ago - it's the first time I've ever had one too. The survey covers what you think of Boots, were the shelves well stocked, was the store tidy etc etc.. Plus if you complete it you are entered into a prize draw, not that I can remember what the prize is now!! :rotfl:

Definitely - putting items in your basket makes no difference to the stock levels. It is finally checking them out that makes the difference. I just tried it with the Baby Nation Cot Bower thing. I am logged onto Boots.com on my pc as me and on my laptop as DH. On my account I added 99 to my basket and it adjusted the level to 10 (ie stock available). Then I logged in on the other machine as DH and put 99 of the same item in his basket.....stock level adjusted the amount to 10. So, assuming we both wanted this item it would be a race to the checkout:rotfl:.......as others have found on numerous early mornings this week. They get the sale stock in their baskets but find they disappear before checkout because someone else has beaten them to the payment process.

PS.....I emptied both DH's and my baskets.....so if anyone wants 10 Baby Nation Cot Bowers....go get em!

And the person who gets through the checkout, has the order accepted, then 'being processed', then confirmed absolutely definitely by phone, is just as likely as anyone else to have the order cancelled.

It's a draw for £1000 or $1000 or 1000Euros depending on what country you enter from. They are random, though sometimes they come through 5 in a row then they mightn't come out til the next day.

My mum topped her phone up in Boots today and it says on her reciept that she shuold have gotten a survey but the SA didn't give her one. Anyone know what kind of reaction I'll get from CS tomorrow as I've never phoned them for myself, usually just on behalf of customers.
