I have brought a neck support pillow in Lidl as they had no raspberry canes.

Dustykitten, wouldn't the raspberry canes have been uncomfortable to sleep on???:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Lots of you with poorly little ones. Get well wishes for all of them and for any of you bigger people who are still unwell. There's an awful lot about, but my neb is a godsend.
    • Bit of a tidy in lounge
    • washed kitchen floor
Then friend came for coffee and was here about an hour, then work colleague popped in for 10 mins to bring papers for me to read before our team meeting in Bristol tomorrow, although doc wasn't keen for me to go. Had an email from one of my care homes saying my candidates were waiting for training - the office should have let them know. I have a sicknote FGS!

Probably going to dust lounge and finish tidying while DS does his lessons, then off to Esporta to use the steam room again!

    Back later

I haven't got time to read through it all just yet, I do hope you are all well been a busy day so far and joy of joys I have caught tonsilitis off DS2, no wonder I was feeling grotty.

**big kick up the bum for maralum!!** get it sorted girly, 3 days will fly by!

Dusty, we got a raspberyy plant from the Poundland shop last week, they had loads of different types of plants (DS1 spotted blueberry I think it was today), bulbs, gardening stuff etc.

ashbart - the file consists of - bank statements, pay slips, other income such as CB tax credits etc, blls from credit cards and catalogues, important receipts, utility bills, council tax, water rates etc bills and any important letters. If the TV licence, insurance etc has expired no point keeping them unless there is an ongoing claim with the insurance. I do keep all previous MOTs and car stuff in a seperate file.

embb pleased to hear things are going well

lg big hugs for your Dad, that's not sounding very good for him, give him a big hug from us x

Pink Fairy stick it in the post and I'll do it :rotfl: NOT!!! I will say it's much easier doing it year by year, we needed a catalogue bill with the date we bought something on to get it fixed under guarantee, found it in minutes.

serena, you are excused for sorting the garage of course, I don't touch ours because it's 'his garage' so I try not to look when I go in there. News about the care places sounds promising.

Oh and I am fuming, I still have a mattress sat on the stairs, supposed to collect 10-2pm today, they phoned at 8am to say they would be 10 minutes, still no sign of them. Oh and sorry Mr Argos delivery man who I answered the door to in my dressing gown this morning, shouldn't come at 6.40am for a 10-2 delivery!
One day I might be more organised...........

Littley spark out on the couch but kept fighting it till 2.10pm. Got some ironing done:D so will pop that away, throw the stuff in the BM for the pizza dough. Bum just remembered some more stuff in TD - will get that and bring it in too.

Well the sun maybe shining here but it is blooming cold. Have to leave to collect DD1 at 3pm, her friend is coming for tea. Did think about cancelling but as DD2 is viral no chance of others catching it, plus DD1 would be gutted if her friend didnt come round today and I honestly not in the mood for one of her sessions.

Just scoffed some more jaffa cakes and feel sick now (I dont really like jaffa cakes bought them for DH as they were half price - will have to hide the box in recycling bin at this rate:o ).

Well getting get me bum in gear!
  • One good piece of news - boss just rang and they've asked me to do supervisor secondment from March - May.

Likklegibbon - hope your dad is better soon.
Embb - congratulations on the job!

I am officially a stupid, stupid, silly, stupid cow and no one is allowed to laugh at this story until they have turned their computer off so I can't hear them....right, here goes.... I needed to get a sack of dog food (£44 a sack as she is a dodgy dog). I decided to be money saving and raid my £2 collection to pay for it, only problem, it's in a blue glass piggy bank with no stopper so I need to hold the piggy bank upside down and stick a knife in it. No problem...picture the scene...me holding piggy above me and i'm looking up at it. All fine till a shard of glass chips off, goes in my eye, I drop the knife and it sticks in my bust (it was a sharp one as I needed a thin knife!). Luckily my next client is a nurse so she rinsed my eye and got the glass out and I had butterfly stitches in the cupboard from a while ago to put on the wound!

The moral of this story....next time i'll pay by cheque!

(Positive note - client booked for feb and march - think she felt sorry for me!)

    Oi...are you laughing!!!!!
  • Only a small wry smile honest - where's that cushion? - i'll bet pigpen will wet herself over that one laughing-smiley-014.gif

Mudbath - have you considered a career as a stuntwoman? Bet that hurt tho - poorly Mudbath - at least you got some good news out of it - maybe a less painful way of finding clients needs to be found but appreciate the lateral thinking :D

I just got two loads of washing in from the line and it was all dry. Now folded and put away. I thought I would never write those words again, it seems to have been raining for ever. I hope we get a few more days like that.

At lunchtime I broke the news to DH that I want him to look through the bags of cables from upstairs. I said "just pretend I'm leaning over your shoulder nagging you" (I'm at work in the evenings).

Bet it's still in the same place when I come home tonight.
