Kaz - I know how you feel as I had a run in with my DD this evening. On the one hand I was thinking I should just let it go but then I don't want her to end up a brat. You shouldn't be flying at 1030 at night! Sit down and do it next week..it'll wait. Hugs to you xx

Trouble is DD is a bit of a brat. I was guilty of letting the kids have stuff that we couldnt have as a child (luckily DS doesnt take advantage and he's 15 now) and OH (who is an older dad and feels he doesnt want to spoil her time with her) indulges her, so self inflicted. We're both stubborn as mules and neither will back down until we're worn out from the battle.

As for flying at 1030, I work FT and often leave stuff to the weekends but then I spend all weekend washing cleaning cooking and ironing. Coming on here is my ME time  which is why I love you all so much, the support is fantastic and lilme's lists keep the place cleaner than the tip I had last summer.

And I am going to get on now :rotfl:

    Evening all :)

Absolutely shattered, but do feel like I'm achieving a clean house, my only concern is that when DH is feeling better, the DIY will re-commence and the house will return to rack and ruin! (Although I think I've got a few days as DH is looking like he's coming down with my cold, LOL!)

Manic Monday - Utility and Dining Room

    Level Two
Clean cupboard door fronts and the kick boards

Tuesday Living Room, Hall and Stairs

    Level 2
Clean TV, other electricals and cabinets

Wonderful Wednesdays - Bedrooms & Landing

    Level 1
Check fire alarms are working (or rather buy and replace battery in one on the hall landing!)
Remove and wash bed linen (both main and DD's).

    Level 2
Dust surfaces & make sure no cobwebs..
Vacuum mattress before replacing with fresh linen, air the bed if possible
    [STRIKE]15 minutes floordrobe clearance[/STRIKE]

    Level 3
Vacuum floors in bedroom and on landing
[STRIKE]Sort one area of clothes or linen storage making sure only what should be in there is, anything that's had it's day or doesn't belong there is removed
    [/STRIKE] - Did on Monday.

Extra tasks list, as usual choose one or more

    * 27 fling boogie time, time for that midweek fling, go on grab a bag and clear that clutter - will actually spend 15 mins attacking the filing cabinet and shredding stuff, only 15 mins mind you.
    * Clean windows in these rooms (not ours, but need to do DD's I saw cobwebs, oops!)
[STRIKE] * Check the airing cupboard, anything that is way past it's use by (maybe recycle for rags if possible, you could donate old sheets or towels to a local animal rescue for bedding)
[/STRIKE] - sadly my airing cupboard looks pretty ana**y retentive, complete with list pinned to the door for DH's benefit, so as he has no excuse to misfile!!
    * Clean the bed frame where you can, vacuum if cloth covered, wipe with a cloth if wood/metal etc

    Other:

    Make fishpie
    Clean radiator in DD's room
    Clean radiator in main bedroom
Dust skirting boards in DD's room
Dust skirting boards in main bedroom
Start to clean the bathroom ....
Do some more of setting up MS Money to be in 2008
Start calculating our budget for 2008 given the latest electricity/gas price raises (£30 p.c.m more )
    Companies House - Annual Return
    Companies House - Accounts
Contemplate Summer holiday and all that it entails.
DD's haircut (oh ok, trim, 2nd one in her life )
    My eyebrow wax
    Trip to the library

Aw hugs Kaz - I know what you mean though. My OH works away and he tends to let our two get away with murder at the weekends. Then I spend till about Thursday getting them back to normal...then he's home on Friday! Great!

A no flying day again, spent all day in hospital with my LO. Her op went fine, should hopefully be out tomorrow, all being well. These things are never straight forward though so we'll see:rolleyes:

    Evening all,

I havent managed to post yet this week, as yesterday I did a few bits after work and then collapsed in a heap infront of the telly. Tonight I am babysitting but made my brother leave his laptop out so I have caught up on loads of threads done all my click, surveys etc, its been great just sitting here catfching up for two hours without feeling that i should be doing some housework.

Anyway (((hugs))) for lilo, jill, michelle and anyone else who I have missed who needs one.
lil-me I have also recently converted to tesco from asda to save their vouchers for a holiday although I have not yet looked into the clubcard deals too closely.
pigpen loved the boots and the pics of the bunnies also very jealous of your lakeland delivery I love lakeland.
g&b hope your LO is feeling better.

g&b give your little one a big hug from me. Fingers crossed for tomorrow.

Kaz, big hugs, I know what you mean about clashing with kids and with the other parent too, we were clashing tonight over our 'beliefs' on what we should do and when, however it is a bit easier since the parenting classes he did attend with me (with great protest) Me and my Mam used to clash all the time, we still do now, I think we always will.

Blimey look at the time, just been ordering dogs flea stuff online, wow! I've ordered 12 for just over what it cost me for 3 last time at the vets, 5% off code then 5% I think it was cashback on quidco. That's them sorted for 6 months.
One day I might be more organised...........

Lil_me.. I get the flea stuff for my mogs online too it is WAY cheaper.. which reminds me.. I need to purchase some more as well.. I think it is baout time they created something similar for the head lice on the children! I'd use mine as guinea pigs if it worked!!

I hope everyone is tucked up in bed now.. it is much too late for you all to be up!

AND.. I am going to rebel tomorrow.. I aren't doing my room.. I am going to annoy DS1 by doing his room.. AND changing his sheets.. AND.. vacuuming and flea spraying his mattress.. I think he is giving fleas to the children.

uniforms and nest for me.. hubby is doing the packed lunches.. :D
