Even worse...
I remember when I was a teenager visiting a friends house and I asked if I could visit the bathroom... they gave me a pot and said 'we do not flush tissue or sanitary pro down the toilet we put them on the fire, so can you put the paper products in this pot' ... I was mortified... so tried to flush just the san pro down the loo and take the tissue out but managed to block the toilet as they had modified the flush to a low flush:rotfl:

Similar to Vals post - I will never ever buy a whole fish again.
I got some on offer, and thought I would totally be able to deal with it. It took me near 30 minutes to fillet one fish because I kept wanting to heave. Especially when I removed the head.
I grilled it up, and I couldn't eat it in the endProud to be dealing with my debts :T
Don't throw away food challenge started 30/10/11 £4.45 wasted.

Just one word:
Mooncup.
For me, the mooncup's not really about saving money. That never really enters my mind, it's just so much cleaner, easier and "nicer" than other options.
IMO a step too far is washing out sandwich bags, I'm not 100% sure why. I think I remember emptying them after my school lunches and the smell would always make me feel sick.0 -
On another thread someone mentioned they went round finishing other people`s unfinished/unwanted drinks. Makes me want to puke every time I think of it.:dance:Sometimes I sing and dance around the house in my underwear. Doesn't make me Madonna. Never will. :dance:0

ahhh that reminds me of the person/people who posted that they collected up the KFC bones from friends plates who have chewed on the bones, and made them into soup _pale_
Now the thought of that really turns my stomach - I would be ill.
Where is the throwing up smiley when you need it?

When we moved to this house which has a septic tank (flush only paper) both of my daughters and I were appalled by the amount of sanitary 'waste' that we generated. It was all to easy when we were living on the mains sewer system to ignore the green implications and let our rubbish be someone else's problem.
I bought all of us a mooncup, and we all love themI wish I'd bought one years ago, as it's certainly paid for itself many times over in saving money buying tampons, but I also love the fact it's always 'there' meaning I never run out and have to do an emergency run for SP.
I'm totally mystified as to why mooncup might be MS 'step too far' to be honest???
I'd have to agree though minesweeping leftover drinks gets my vote for YUK.

I refuse to be cold. I live in a very cold place and its sheer utter misery being cold. I would go without (and do!) a lot to be able to stay warm and cosy.0
