a solicitor cannot issue an eviction order - only a court can do that. is the document you have received called a SEction 21 Notice - if so what dates are on it ?0

I know I have to go, but intend to delay it as long as possible (legally) they will also not see another penny off me. Barstewards:D
You are still liable for the rent, for so long as you occupy. There's no point getting in to a spat over any rent, legitimately due. You'll only lose in the small claims court.
It's difficult not to but ..... this is not personal. It's business. It's not that they want you out ... they would be evicting any tenant, no matter who they were. You must have known that you had no security of tenure ....?And that, with the proper lawful notice, you could be evicted pretty much "at any time"?
It was really cheap as well. 2 bed det bungalow front and rear garden ALL bills paid. £390 per month:mad: . Barstewards:D

That's true but they need to find the OP first. If you want to go down this route it is perfectly possible IMO, if not the sort of behaviour I like to indulge in.0 -
I do not think it would be a good idea to stop paying rent legally due. It might be possible but undesirable because if they do issue a summons it will harm your future credit rating and impact on you for years. Why take that chance if as you acknowledge it is a cheap rent? I expect it is the anger surfacing and making you think along those lines but when you have calmed down and thought it all through I hope you pay the rent for as long as you are there.0

It may not be personal to them but it is very very personal to me.
This is a big company and I can understand the impersonal nature of their decision. But if a private individual such as yourself would kick a family out, then shame on you, I say. Shame on you.
And just to reiterate, these people will not get another penny of me.:DS!!!!horpe0
