Just give them a refund, and take the wrong bed away. Because I get the impression that they don't want to deal with your company again.
It's pretty representative of my experience with Dreams that they seem oblivious to what a customer is telling them. I've clearly stated that I've corresponded with their CEO and got my bed and continue to deal with his minions to reach a conclusion. And you're quite right; I've no intention of doing business with them again. The thought makes me quite queasy...0 -
I've finally had the incorrect bed removed from my house (although that was nearly screwed up at the eleventh hour...*sigh*). Oh relief.
However, since then I get a nightly call from Yodel telling me they are coming to collect my bed/parcel. OH MY GOD. Does anyone in Dreams maintain accurate records? Does anyone have their 'finger on the pulse'?? I'm starting to think I'm living in some weird dystopia as a form of punishment  !
Why oh why did I buy from them????? So to recap, Dreams:- Deliver incorrect beds as no-one can read labels written in 3 inch letters across the middle of the box.
- Refuse to assist you in any way shape or form when you bring said mistake to their attention.
- Subject you to 'death by customer service'; ringing their after-sales care line is possibly comparable to some sort of Orwellian room 101 ordeal (see thoughts on dystopias above).
- Don't phone you back.
- Ignore your emails.
- Force you to take the drastic action of emailing their CEO.
- Give you a named person.
- Named person ignores you.
- You threaten them with Trading Standards and other menaces.
- Named person is suddenly all over you like a dirty rash.
- Promise you correct bed with free assembly and collection of wrong bed.
- Delivery men refuse to assemble bed and take away wrong bed.
- You throw hissy fit in street.
- Bed assembled.
- Wrong bed left.
- New bed damaged.
- Hissy fit on phone (well, it makes a change from the street. Variety is the spice of life after all).
- God I'm boring myself.
- Here's another one for good luck...
Think I'll go and dribble and rock quietly in the corner....0 -

On this basis I took the liberty of using the wonder that is the internet to find out who their CEO is and his email address (Nick Worthington in case you were wondering). I have been delighted to send him a missive detailing what a useless company they are, how charmless and ineffective his so-called customer service team are and how I expect this to be resolved swiftly. As much as I enjoy sleeping on the floor, I'm not some f***ing student in a bedsit and would like the goods supplying as promised.
If this and further calls to the 'Charm School Dropouts Customer Service line' do not work, I will approach Trading Standard, Watchdog etc and invoke my rights under the Sale of Goods Act 1979. Mr Worthington and Dreams can then put that in their pipe and smoke it.
My advice? DO NOT BUY FROM DREAMS!!!!!!!! It would be easier to take a carpentry course and build your own bed than rely on these shameless uncaring cowboys .
I take it from the above that you also dropped out of the same charm school? Why do you think not being a student gives you some special rights? For what its worth I ordered a bed from them last September, it was for my Student Daughter, studio flat not a bedsit, does that make a difference? They called me to tell me they were on their way, delivered on the right day at the right time, made the bed and had a friendly chat and were on their way. I guess all companies get it right sometimes and sometimes mess up but I can't complain about the service.Sell £1500

We ALL have exactly the same special rights when it comes to getting the items we ordered in good faith i.e. that they are delivered as promised and you're not left in the lurch (or in my case sleeping on the floor). I purely used this example to illustrate a point.
I'm delighted all went well for you and your student daughter (incidentally I was a student once, so absolutely nothing against them...honest!). However, if things hadn't gone to plan, I'm sure you'd have wanted to let off steam as much I did (and have).
I'm also told I'm very charming0 -

I was harking back to my days of being a student when things weren't so luxurious! Wasn't for a second suggesting it's ok to let an under-graduate sleep on the floor. I promise Mumps! (My rage hasn't quite turned me into Cruella Deville yet...:)).0 -

You are right, they must get it right some of the time. But the problem is that they don't seem to care on the many occasions that they get it wrong.
You may not have any reason to complain about the service this time. But if you found out how much you were over charged (even in their sales), then you would have reason to complain.0 -

Have you bought a bed from Dreams that you have such an interest in when and what the official representative is doing?0
