Put in my shopping list and then converted everything to the cheaper version, to see what I could have saved if I really tried. Happy to use economy cleaning stuff, and tinned tomatoes, but... there are some things I cannot/will not buy the economy version of.
 Coffee
 Tea
 Ketchup
Some things, I actually prefer the cheap version, Weetabix, for example. The real stuff goes soggy too fast! Orange squash.
 Is it just me?
IF you have a Aldi near you, you can get all the above
allot less than brand price, and still enjoy whatever it is

We don't have an Aldi or a Lidl anywhere near. The cost of the petrol would be more than what I'd save. Also if I did go, might be tempted to buy things not on list so shopping online.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Cheap meat (always get suspicious bits in it *shudder*) and value tea.

free-range wrote: »Also a good cheap cleaner for glass shower screens is car polish... (honest, go with me on this one) as it gets all the water marks off and when you use it afterwards the water rolls straight off. This way it only needs a quick rinse to keep it sparkly clean on only needs car-polishing about every 6-8 weeks!:p
 Wonderful tip - thank you!0
