Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
I've done just about all the main presents except for DD and DS (who read MSE so not saying what I plan for them :p )

Lots of new bargains from charity shops and vouchers (£70) from clicky sites. Also I buy bargains whenever/wherever I see them, but my rule is they must be at least 50% off.

I have cash to come from -
Mr T (£50) and Wilko (£20) stamp cards,
£200 from Gordon if the cash doesn't run out by then!
plus 12,250 nectar points for the goodies thanks to TNS and petrol

I've also been stockpiling dry goods if they're BOGOF and have quite a nice little store in one of the divan drawers. I've no eed to suffer from night starvation!

Perhaps it won't be such a lean Christmas after all :T
  • Been lookign at this site for months now and had to share my find with you.

Just got most of my family gifts in one swoop and not only did I save over £150 off the normal price but since my order was over £50 they gave me free delivery. Arrived this morning and I am over the moon. Got 10 cats for family members and now most of my shopping is done .. Woo hoo.

These were 70% off, looked this morning and the offer is still running. Think I will go back for birthday presents too.. HEHE

Hope this easies the christmas shopping burden.

Stubbster - are you advertising that site? I can't help but notice that you joined on the date of your single post even though you said you've been reading the posts for months. If you're not advertising, then I apologise.

  • I bought these in IKEA yesterday, they're up in my window already! I can get away with stars! Pretty cheap for what they are and look good, will stick onto any mirrored/window surface, you could always wrap them round things.

Ok folks well Im more than a little late in joining you..............Im incredibly late (but starting to think about christmas earlier than I usually would so thats a good thing..........right?!)

Anyway............I am totally stressing. Money is a little tight and I just seem to have so many people to buy gifts for and dont know where to start. Had great plans of doing some cross stitch but since then I have been diagnosed with Rhuematoid Arthritis and my hands are really bad so that kinda sent that idea packing!

Anyway I suppose I hoped that maybe by joining you all I would get some inspiration.

    Linz xoxox
Its hard to wait around for that something you know may never happen, but its harder to give up when you know its everything you ever wanted.........

People tell me Im going the wrong way..............when its simply a way of my own!

Lol, nope, not advertising this site, just thought some people might be able to make savings on it. Was so impressed with the stuff I got that I thought I would spread the word.

Went back today and bought more for birthday presents too.

I look at a lot of forums and usually only post or sign up when I think I have something really useful to say lol.
  • If anyone is considering buying a nintendo wii for christmas then i have found a great alternative. I bought a games console from Ebay called MiWi, OK the graphics arent as good but for £35 quid plus delivery its great value for money. It also comes with 31 games to get you started.

    Hi everyone

I have been lurking on here on and off for a few months and I've found it really helpful to see how well you're all doing:T

I know I'm a bit late for this year but I'm hoping to join you all for saving for xmas 2009:D

I have had a really difficult start to the year money wise but I have managed to save up with park for my high street vouchers which have now arrived (and I'm ridiculously excited;) ) and I have got £100 on my asda savings card.....am trying to get it up to the £144 by november so I get my £6 bonus, so all in all better than I had hoped

Are you sure about this date? Most websites are quoting 17th November e.g.
