Blimey no one been on here since April...OMG have you all found other christmas thread's...lol...:rotfl:
anyway getting back to christmas...I have just bought a santa christmas train set to put at the bottom of the tree...not buying much this year although it'll still be expensive...
I normally spend £200 on my brother & sister-in-law and around £400 on my son but don't usually get myself anything...
so this year as we have mostly everything we need...I thought wht could we have that we don't have...Sky HD ....so I am buying 3 HD boxes...
    one each...
that'll do and I got some thorntons chocolates...770g boxes in the woolworths sale don't expire until 31st December 2008...got them for £5.50 instead of £11 each...
have also got some laptop jacks for my SIL and myself so we can jazz up our laptops...
will also have £1000 for christmas so will have fun going on christmas trips in December...and enjoying them for a change instead of thinking what can I buy in this amount of time...and hope they like what I have bought...this year I will be buying just simple stocking filler's...having a nice lunch and no pressure...just enjoy the christmas lights & decorations & music....Merry Christmas shopping everybody...:xmastree:

I work in Bavaria, and they do a really cool thing with salaries - the salary payment is worked out on a 13-month basis, so in early December they'll pay out an extra salary payment to cover Christmas costs.

I'm already gift neutral for this year, so will throw the payment at my credit card bill. But it's a really nice idea...

  • I have been thinking about christmas lots lately and had the christmas list out last week for the first time this year.Did xmas for £800 last year and aiming for the same or cheaper this year, although I have a notion to buy DD a proper rocking horse before she is too old for one and that would blow the entire budget on its own.
I did lots of selling on ebay last year to make my £800 for christmas and will do the same again.Using cashback sites too so my august quidco payment will be the first cash going into the christmas pot for this year,£119.
Still not sure what to buy for the kids or everyone else, have to get organised soon.Only 4 months to go.
