Hi! This sounds like such a brilliant idea. I just don't know where to start though. I could save a little each week and I do use Pigsback, although I find it hard to make up much money on the site tbh. I also use Quidco too.

Are there other sites I can earn money on doing daily clicks? What would everyone recommend?

As to stamp schemes, sorry for sounding a bit thick but I don't know what they are!:o

I save £30 each month in a building society (goes in by DD) and I save all my Tesco/Nectar/Boots points/vouchers. Also put money from cashback credit card in the kitty. Found it easy to buy small bits through the year and only ever buy wrapping paper and cards in the post Chrismas sales. Means that I can look forward to Christmas without having to worry about how much it costs.

Bit of an update from me, I'm not saving as such as I am focusing on homemade & recycled pressies so have been working on those.

I have finished 4 jewellery projects for Mum & M-i-L, got a couple of as-new condition t shirtsfor hubby & books for Mum & Nan from the charity shop & had a idea about my son painting a mug & storage jar & putting loads of redbush tea bags in it for my M-i-L as she finds redbush hard to get where she lives. Also got a couple more chairty shop dressing up bits for my friends' daughters' dressing up set. Have also made a jewellery holder for my Mum by colouring in one of those mini artists wooden maniquins to match her bedroom colours along with gold & silver, used my sons metallic felt pens & they worked a treat!

Total spent so far £129.19 & am probably half way there. Not much of a saving on last years pressie budget of a total of £300 (most of which was vouchers, cash back etc) and this year may even end up costing slightly more but I have a point to prove as most of my friends & family think it's a daft idea, plus it's much much more satisfying & enviromentally friendly this way!;)

    Happy Christmas 2008 everyone:xmassign:

  • Hi I'd like to join this again please, it really helped me get organised and save money last year.

    So far I have
£250 in work savings club (£50 pcm)
    £20 boots vouchers from Pigsback
    £22 Tesco savings stamps

I also will have clubcard vouchers and boots card points to spend for xmas :D

My gift box is looking a little sparse at the minute - recycled presents and cheap finds that I pick up thru the year. Will inventory it as soon as I get a chance so I can see whats what.

    Good luck all :-)

    Update:
Quidco is now tracking at just under £50 so that's fab! Got 433 tesco club card points and will maybe use them for dh present- tickets for a show or something? Hopefully will get more before christmas obviously!
We are putting anything that remains from our cash budget into christmas cash savings and hopefully that'll be £15 per month. Plus we save £21.58 for gifts pcm also which will be put into the kitty- although we are trying not to spend this if possible!
Cash wise from our budget we should have £39 IF we don't spend anything else on food etc. However, this isn't VERY realistic so we may end up with less. It's not a bad start tho and we've loads of food in the house at the moment.
I'll update at the end of the month with new cash total.

I am not saving money as I haven't got any. The OH has been out of work since the middle of December. But I am saving my nectar points fro christmas food this year. I also have one piggy Boots voucher on the way. Ans will use the profits from surveys and factfinders scanning for presents again this year. I have already bought 8 presents for birthdays, xmas in the sales. So going quite well. It will need to if the OH doesn't get to work soon.

We're currently in the same boat, OH out of work since early feb and no job offers thus far so we're starting to save any vouchers/reward points/cashback towards xmas this year.

Try Toluna.com formerly test and vote. They do sainsburys vouchers for rewards, I have just had £15 worth. I was saving them for christmas but might use them for petrol for a day out next week, as I am on holiday and not planning a holiday this year. Also Lightspeed and Juicybrains and ipsos and suveys.com for surveys. Also onepoll for surveys. Just log on every day and do the surveys. They are very quick to do and never screen you out. Only another £1.40 to earn and I can have the £40 payout. I have only been doing this one since christmas.
