I have started buying the odd tin of fruit, etc when I do the shop. These then go into a box with all the other goodies along the way. I find that if I buy one small item extra every time you do not miss the pennies.
As the christmas bits appear get what you want/need as you see it if that is possible - have found in the past ,when I have gone back - its gone!!

Hi Kiwichick and all the other "christmas cooks".... yes will have a look to see what I have.
Really good tips on this thread and I would like to make something "different" this year, as much as I love Mince pies etc, fancy pushing the boat out.
Hoping to go onto the links later today which have been suggested above.
Got the day to myself as hubby taken littleone out, so may be on here for a while yet - its SO addictive this site........
Kiwichick - yes would love to swap tips.... you gave me the push to join up.

I've been sorting through the present box and am pleasently suprised to find that I have got DD, DSD and my mum completely sorted for xmas! :j I have a couple of bits for DH, pamper baskets for 2 friends and a little something for DDs teacher. I have nothing for DD2 or DS, my 3 nieces or MIL. Also seem to have enough cards for the next century, wrapping paper and crackers also sorted.WW Start Weight 18/04/12 = 19st 11lbsWeight today = 17st 6.5lbsLoss to date 32.5lbs!!!0

Its not fair... I really want to get started on my gift box but between DD being home from school and money being tight I've not got anywhere  Roll on September 6th when people are back at school properly and I've got myself back into my normal routine. Maybe I might start to make some headway then
Not to mention the £50 I've just transfered over from Paypal to go towards Christmas costs :j
