ocemeer, september is not too early to make christmas puds. My Mum always makes them at christmas and saves a couple for easter (stores them in the cool garage). You will find that the flavours mature, so they will be a bit richer, and will taste slightly alcoholic as the sugar in the fruit turns into alcohol.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

You could try on ebay, there are quite a few and reasonable priced.Or you could try a local florist.:smileyhea:heart: Mrs Lea Nov 5th '11:smileyhea

I'd try the florists... cellophane is ridiculously cheap wholesale, less than 10 quid for a roll of about 100m. Be prepared for a fair markup, but it should be lots less than the little prepacked cellophane packsSoftstuff- Officially better than 0070

Today I went into Oxfam, and they had lovely children's things on sale like board games (down from £10 to £2.50) and grow-y/crafty sets. I bought my little sister (9) a grow your own giant sunflower (62p), a flower pressing set (£1.24) and a paint your own watering can and gardening tools set (£2.49) all reduced from mad prices, as she's becoming a right little green fingers in the garden
That is four presents I have now, as I have a paint-your-own piggy bank that I'm going to decorate for the bf, plus random things from work as backups (I work at L'occitane and get a monthly allocation of things I won't use but that grandparents and random people love!).
I'm going to make my nan ginger whisky, my friends berry vodka of some description, my sisters bath bombs/salts.... etc. I also silversmith so will be making my granddad and dad enamelled cufflinks, my nan and mum a pendant or earrings of some description and then bits and bobs to sell on my website, plue my custom orders... which is why I'm going to be starting those soon!
I make my own cards every year too, but will be looking for ways to keep the cost down - last year I cheated and used gold pen to draw on cream card, popped in gold envolopes - lovely and v. cheap!Returning MoneySaver, now furiously saving for a house deposit...0 -
Well Christmas Planning is underway...I've let DD put the Christmas Videos on today :santa2: I've decided that each summer hols I'll let her have 1 day where she can sit and watch a Christmas video marathon...I was going to take her to town today but I'm shattered so today is as good as any
Plus it will help "put me in the mood" to have a good mooch around for crafty gift ideas for Christmas as money is squeaking
There's nothing like surfing ebay / organizedchistmas.com while watching/listening to Muppets Family Christmas / Muppet Christmas Carol / A Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie :xmastree::xmassign: Can you tell we like Muppets :rotfl:
