  • I'm doing really well this year :T . I have:
    • Made a list of everyone I need to buy for and make sure I keep it with me
    • Decided to make home made baking hampers for the people I need to give token gifts to (jam, mince pies and a mini christmas cake)
    • Bought at least 40% of what I need to get in the sales or with vouchers; at this rate I can do it for next to nothing
    • Started saving CC points / Boots points etc for using on gifts
    • Bought and in the process of making cross stitch cards for the special people and saved cards from last year for others
    • Started thinking about making the christmas cakes; I'll order the ingedients with my Septemebr online shop
If I can get my cards done in time I'll make a couple of other presents too, maybe a bookmark ,scarf and some stockings. But I'm really slow so don't expect this to happen :D

I'm catching up on all the programmes I've recorded but not watched on the TV and sorting through stuff while I'm at it. I'm glad I did as I've just found :
    • Empty baskets, 1 of which I can use for a hamper for DD from me (she loves this idea :D )
    • Some travel puzzle books for DD which I bought from Aldi weeks ago
    • 2 bang on the door bookmark kits which I'm going to make up for DD's hamper as she loves reading.
    • My Xmas notebook which I carry with me to note down how much I've spent and what I've bought :D
So a productive night, with some Christmas prep thrown in :rotfl::j

Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!
  • Hi peeps:hello:

First time in a while I have managed to wrench the pc from the boys, but I think I have managed to catch up now.

Not much preparation for christmas in my house unless you count making a list of potential presents - Argos is the most well read book in our house ;) - but I have started on the blackberry and elderberry wines - should be ready for xmas 2009 at this rate, however I have been carefully nurturing the chardonnay I made before my birthday and this is now safely bottled - funny how the kit said 'makes 6 bottles' but after the testing I only managed to get 5 - hic! Won't have any left for xmas at this rate....... Next job, the cake.

Am saving hard and got a bit stashed away, which is better than last year, but have just been hit by a heavy leccy bill  why does it take so long to earn it but 5 seconds to spend it????
SMILE....they will wonder what you are up to...........;)
