The more I witness what you and our MSE Family are doing, the more it brings me to tears.
I think Ken Loach who made the 'Cathy Come Home' documentary all those years ago, would have a field day with this saga. Maybe if he did, it would be a 'wake up call' for the Government to do something to update the laws and guidelines for Councils on how to treat genuine cases of homelessness.

I'm a member of Equity, so on Monday (if no-one minds) I'll be ringing up to get info on how to contact him & other people like Michael Winner & Bob Geldof (they won't give agents' details unless you're a member). Even if they're not able to help, they/their contacts may know of people who can. I'll put my thinking cap on today, find out what I can from the internet & then start calling round tomorrow. It may all come to nothing, but if I don't try I'll never know.

Your thanks for what's being done is much appreciated, but I'm sure I speak for many if not all when I say that it's not necessary. We already know how much you all appreciate it. I was happy to help (Pania knows how), because I kept thinking how hard it was for me to find housing many years ago, & "there but for the grace of God go I".

Morning MOT and co

Hope you have had a reasonable nights sleep, just popped in to read all the posts,,,Im away to do an extra shift at work today for the good cause and will catch you all tonight after Ive finished. I love my job its so DFW type, I use the bosses leccie and have free coffee etc and its quiet so I can read a chapter of my book and all my customers stop to chat and can socialise whilst earning all in all a dream job:rotfl: Oh must remember to charge up my mobile and as he runs a local game shoot I have a couple of brace of pheasant to come soon. Plus he is going to match my contribution oh such a lovley man:A ...shame hes married tut tut behave Anna

Ok am off to serve my lovley public....will be on later to see how things are going

Tried to Google Ken Loach for a contact address - no luck yet - but found the Shelter site --- so heres a link to the list of companys that are involved with Shelter - they've been unable to do much as yet but maybe thier sponsors can come good;) http://england.shelter.org.uk/howtohelp/howtohelp-8295.cfm
