Ok OK I only read as far as Nash Mills. I used to live in Nash Mills, right opposite the school in fact (too young to know if the village hall was connected to the school but don't think it was). Now my ex step !!!!!! still lives there in the house that he cheated out of my mum. As I remember there was a driveway with space for 2 cars and a verge with space for 1- to me that translates as 6 tents?
Obviously to protect the privacy of the schmuck who beat the childhood out of myself and my sister I would never gve away his address. And of course none of you on this "BLOG" are intelligent enough to know that the numbers between 1 and 5 (in order) would spell out his address- should you need parking/camping/dumping ground?
    MoT/I-T please take care.

MoT do you have any idea of the immense strength it takes to accept help when you don't want to but you know you have to for the sake of your children? Now that is what I call being a very good mother. You have done so and that means that you can count yourself in this category.

I will try to catch up with the rest of this thread over the next few days but have things on that I can't avoid. TTFN, Kaz.

That, Kaz, from a glorious post, is one of the things mot is having to learn.
If it helps, these were very close to her own words, so hard for her to accept, last night.
Look forward to hearing from you again when you've had a chance to read ALL.

......agreed, GeorgeUK, until you look into DBC archives on Appeals(and other Homeless-related files)to see how they keep their sheet clean and numbers down.
No doubt they all perform(Adam? Felicity? say it with me)la prestidigitation with numbers to achieve this.
Have written to Have Your Say,for the Hemel Hempstead Gazette this Wednesday.
Anyone else want to send something in, post-Hearing?
I think it's sensible to reanimate now, before chuck-out day, and any possible Judicial Review, apart from alerting readers to this new Thread.
    ###########

Sent to Have Your Say, Hemel Hempstead Gazette:

A large number of your readers will recall the coverage you gave to Ms Julia Davis and her twins, Felicity and Adam, faced with homelessness in the days before Christmas.
Strong representations by some noble and committed local Councillors obtained a delay in the final Hearing of Julia's Appeal against being declared Intentionally Homeless.
This Appeal was heard on Thursday, 17 January: I bitterly regret to inform readers that the Panel upheld this farcical Decision unanimously.
Julia was therefore to be out of the 1-bedroom flat, occupied since 7 November, next Monday, 21 January.
Fortunately, she has been given a week's grace, thanks only to the urgent intervention of her solicitors.
The behaviour of some persons involved by DBC during that Review is a matter of concern.
May I ask if any of your readers know of any affordable local properties for rent, within or near Housing Benefit levels?
Hemel Hempstead seems to be very short on these and the Buncefield explosion continues to impact upon availability.

    Write to them here:

  • Well yet another day dawns...and your still here...I couldnt sleep then when I did had a lovley dream, one involving a placard and a certain MPs head somehow the two bumped into one another lol gently ofcourse.

MOT/Twins/IT good morning to you all, hope your all feeling a wee bit better.

MOT lots of hugs, sometimes a hug even if virtual is worth more than a lot of words, keep strong.

Am off to burn some toast set off the smoke alarm and give my oh so lovley neighbour above me an early morning wake up call as he was playing his AC /DC Album till 3am.    . he should just be about to go into that thing called sleep:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: he will get the message soon enough lol

    Till later
    Anna x
I so want to be like thisu:rotfl: :rotfl: :j :j but feel like this:mad:         all the time and wondering how the heck did I get into debt.....
  • It would be so nice to go to bed and sleep there 'til the morning broke over the horizon. Ah well, onwards and upwards; a new day, a new adventure into the unknown. Anna, try introducing your upstairs nuisance neighbour to a very loud 'Sounds of the 60s' on BBC2. Kaz should we add your ex to the list that is headed by MOTs' ex LL? Suitable cases for treatment.
  • Just in case the DBC HO and the LL have found their way to this thread, can I just say 'Thank You' for your contribution to the appeal review on Thursday? Without people like you in this world, people like our friends on MSE wouldn't be able to reveal what it is like to be caring, sympathetic, helpful, generous, good natured, kind hearted, well meaning, supportive, understanding, - shall I go on? I hope that one day you will come to realise what contribution you have made to the lives and future of three wonderful people, MOT & her fabulous twins.
  • I have had the most wonderful email from MM the Councillor who has been very supportive and who appeared as one of MOT's witnesses. I wont quote it all here but I hope he will not mind if I do reveal part of it.

"That's how I live my life - be open, be honest and always treat others as you would expect them to treat you - not familiar traits, I know, in a would-be politician but ones that I hold dear as a socialist (you may call it Labour)." "I want to know that (MOT) has a roof over her head post 21/1. I'll do whatever I can to help in that regard so don't think I'm out of here. Just remember one thing - I'm not a special person, I'm just someone who cares."

Thanks M, I know you wont think so but you are a star.

dont know if this has been entered before but your council will be able to send round a rent officier to any place u find and they will predetermine how much rent they would be willing to pay (at least this is what happened to my daughter) other councils have a calculator for housing benefits on their sites that let you know how much they normally pay towards your rent - hope this helps and sorry if it is a repeat post
Thank you for jogging my memory on the HB calculator, DBC do have one xx

    Hello all,
I have been following this thread and agree with you IT that it proves there are people ready to stand by MOT's side (virtually speaking of course, for those LL feeling scared) and defend her when needed.
However, I am a complete believer in what goes around comes around and MOT WILL get her fairy tale ending as she has shown emmense strength and dignity in all this, and has always tried to do things the right way, plus there are too many people here to support her and the twins.

So if my theory is right then certain people who have gone out of their way to cause MOT's worries should be expecting a bite on the beep at any time soon!! I do hope so, think I will buy an alsatian!

Take care MOT and keep that lovely chin up
    sasp xx
