HSBC continue to apply charges to my account, and depending on what the outcome of my first claim is, I am not sure whether to put in another claim.

I received a letter from HSBC this morning asking me to return my switch card, and cheque book. I gave the branch a call, and they are offering me a managed loan.

I do not see any point in going for a managed loan yet, as my court case in on the 2nd August.

I sent my bundle in on the 29th June, and have still not heard anything.

Has this happened to anyone else, any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks
  • I have been offered £4235 against £4910 claimed, spread across 4 accounts from HSBC. I am very tempted to accept, but wanted to ask if anyone had any luck negotiating with the Service Quality Team to increase their offers?

Also, if and when I do accept, and send in the forms, how long does it take to get the money back into your accounts? Do they reliably pay on the 14 day timeframe they state?

    Many thanks in advance,

    Fred

Has anyone got a preliminary hearing??
We've got one on 7th august, but no idea what will happen if it gets that far . Had no correspondence from anywhere apart from the letter from dewsbury court telling us when and what time. What do we do? do we need anything? Kind of hoping that it won't get that far. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! We're going on holiday on sunday too, so worried that if we do get an offer whilst we're away we might miss any deadlines.

    Thanks

    Get this for cheek....

i came in this afternoon to find a letter from HSBC! i thought great my offer letter has finally arrived....(this is after asking twice for the letter to be sent out because i had not received anything)

But the letter said and i quote... "Further to our letter dated 29th June 2007 we have not received a response from you. Please can we ask that you respond within 7 days or we will consider the matter closed in our records". now considering i have only got the letter today 7 days is up tommorow.

now i had never received this letter dated the 29th so i rang up and asked for another to be sent out twice yet some how this letter is dated 13th July the same date i rang up again to ask where my offer letter was.

i am now going to phone up tommorow and state that i will go into the bank and get them to print out and fax over the letter tommorow. I hope this will be ok. mind you i have stated loads of times which should be on there records i had never received the letters...

So how about that for cheek.
  • Just wanted to say a BIG congratulations to Tillybella  ! Sent my acceptance letter off today for one account......still waiting for a response on the other one  ...... Oh well.....can't be long now!
  • Recieved a letter today after hearing nothing for weeks and was about to file with MCOL....

Have agreed to settle, they wont give me the interest (£85) and have deducted £55 as this had already been refunded so are giving me £181, i had claimed £321....

So i'm accepting this as i think's it's fair...i could hold out for the interest and go through MCOL but i really can't be bothered, even though i know i probably should carry it through!

Anyway SUCCESS.....thats 5 out of 6 banks for me now....only A&L to go and they arn't budging, court date 17th Sept!!

    Hi ya:confused:

Absolute madness, you must be stressed out. Obviously a computer generated letter, might be an idea if try to push them to put your money into account as a matter of coutesy within week and not the standard two weeks wait. Have they definately got your correct address ?

Good luck and let us know how you get on

    Hi ya,

Dosent Sound to bad an offer really, i think you will find if you ring them to negotiate they won t do it over the phone (some banks do negotiate this way but as far as im aware not hsbc) they will tell you to write to them to re assess claim then you will need to wait again.

If i was you i would accept the offer at the end of the day it was money you thought you had lost . One you have sent it back it generally takes two weeks, some have had it earlier some on the 14 day mark.

I m just waiting for £1,857.25 to be paid into acccount now have been waiting 10 days. I to had to weigh up whether to accept offer as i originally asked for £2,333. according to them though they only owed me just under £2,000. At then end of the day it was money i desperately needed so accepted, couldn t face court route and having to wait months for a hearing.

    Good luck

lou x:cool:p s forgot to ask is that with interest
