For the last 6 or 7 yrs i only buy fr or organic chicken and normally buy when on offer from sainsburys or in the reduced section, but today for the first time I went to Aldi and found with amazement a whole bird for £3.78!!!!
I normally pay £7-9 depending on the size.
It does me for a roast and then a risotto and 2 tubs of stock and a dinner for the dog so at sainsburys price i didnt mind but at Aldi's price I had to pick myself up off the floor b4 grabbing the bird and heading off to the check out!...:-)

Well I cooked my chicken from aldi and it's delicious, made 2 chicken, bacon and leek pies with a creamy sauce, so approx £6.00 for 2 pies, 2 adults 3 kids ate 3/4 pie tonight and leftover pie for kids dinner tomorrow night. Other pie in freezer for next week. I'm pleased with my saving. :-)
