I thought that bleach would just lighten limescale and not get rid of it????? We shove the loo brush down the loo a few times to reuce the water level and then put white vinegar down the toilet and leave overnight; it works fantastically. Also use the white vinegar to clean limescale deposits on taps and tiles etc - very versatile!0

I've had issues with my loo and manky black limescale. I found Harpic Professional Limescale cleaner in HomeBargains for a quid...
Its worked wonders, would heartily recommend it

We live in a very hard water area, and our beautiful white suite is getting heavily stained, I've tried some anti-limescale tablets, and these have worked to an extent, but not totally.
It's worse where the water lays and around the rim, none of the other toilet cleaners seem to have much effect.0 -
Hi there  It might be a case of persisting with what you're doing now, then cleaning regularly to keep your loo sparking
I'll add this to the existing "limescale in the loo" thraed to keep ideas together.
