    Same here, result!

Have stayed there a number a of times, hotel is lovely and you can bring your own booze as it has a fridge (empty, save for complimintary milk and water, i know what i'd rather have in my fridge!) you can use.

We have eaten at the Grille on 3 occasions using various offers, never been too impressed but convenient. Will try and find a restaurant offer nearby this time.

Have a look on http://www.toptable.co.uk/ You should find some good deals nearby. How about 15? It's just around the corner.

    Oh, sigh.

Then I read on the website that I have to book on the phone with a debit card!
    So now I'm confused!

(Funny, cause I did it as a laugh at first really, seeing as I've got got £1.14 on my card I thought it was worth a try, and I got one! :D)

So I'll have to see if I can borrow my dad's credit card :o (I'm not even old enough to have one myself! But soon enough, only a year to go :))

Anyone else booked with a debit card? (Anyone done it before and had problems/not had problems?)

If all else fails, I'll sell it to someone else who DOES have a credit card, probably the OH's mum :p

I booked with a debit card too. I used a debit card before for a £29 room early last year when I didn't realise it was credit cards only and had no problem - they didn't ask any questions when I arrived. I don't have a credit card so this is the only way I can book. I have booked a room again £29 and intend to just turn up on the date - I don't think there will be any problem as I have a confirmation.

has anyone with multiple confirmation dates had any rooms cancelled yet? I got 2 (by accident when a time-out page actually secured the booking, before i'm abused for being greedy!)

I have a £1 room on 2 separate dates, both are still valid with the hotel... not complaining though.. just expecting a cancellation

i also have two dates (again thanks to the slow response of the site).

Surely if they have now taken the money they will not be able to cancel.

for example you did not have to tick a box to confirm that you have read their terms and conditions of the offer ie only one room per person at £1.

as far as i can see if they have taken your money and you have received a confirmation email (which we have ) then they would not be allowed to cancel.

they have had at least 24 hours to do this anyway.

well in that case im going to have to find someone to have the £1 room... i can't take both. I'm sure there will be plenty of takers.

People with more than one booking should have been contacted by phone. They left me a voicemail :) If you haven't been, I would suggest you contact the hotel to let them know which booking you would like to keep.

I had double bookings but didnt get a call and have been home all day. Called them and cancelled the bookings I didnt want and was refunded so all is well.

Just to remind that we are not allow to buy and sell (or even give away) items on MSE. Perhaps this rule needs to be made clearer, so we don't have newbies asking for four rooms?!!!
