    Oh, sigh.

You'd think I'd be really pleased, I got a £1 room and £25 return train journey... (Was originally quoted £29 single! Feel very proud about that!)

My booking stopped working just after I entered my card details so I assumed I hadn't got one, then I got the email and I was ecstatic!

Was all excited about having a very MSE break for me and the OH's 1 year 'anniversary' as such - we're not married ;)
Using my Pigsback vouchers in Pizza Hut for tea, and my Sainsbury's voucher courtesy of Toluna for lunch the next day.
We were going to go to Sheffield, but this actually worked out cheaper (!)

Then I read on the website that I have to book on the phone with a debit card!
    So now I'm confused!

(Funny, cause I did it as a laugh at first really, seeing as I've got got £1.14 on my card I thought it was worth a try, and I got one! :D)

So I'll have to see if I can borrow my dad's credit card :o (I'm not even old enough to have one myself! But soon enough, only a year to go :))

Anyone else booked with a debit card? (Anyone done it before and had problems/not had problems?)

If all else fails, I'll sell it to someone else who DOES have a credit card, probably the OH's mum :p

I didn't realise how close this was to where I work at 80 Old Street. As I do 2 hours each way travelling every day, I could have booked a few £1 rooms and stayed over.

Ah, you probably work for POL then! ;-)

Can't believe I managed to get a room for £1. After payment the screen said page cannot be displayed and I thought it was all over. I have only just got an email confirming I have booked the £1 room !!!!

    Same here, result!

Have stayed there a number a of times, hotel is lovely and you can bring your own booze as it has a fridge (empty, save for complimintary milk and water, i know what i'd rather have in my fridge!) you can use.

We have eaten at the Grille on 3 occasions using various offers, never been too impressed but convenient. Will try and find a restaurant offer nearby this time.
