I went for this but instead of the hard drive upgrade I opted for the upgrade to include the 2mp web cam as I don't really need the extra hard drive space and could do with a built in web cam.

The price came to the same with the free carriage so thanks for this spot.

I checked quidco and it appears that they DO NOT give the 5% cashback on dell "small business". All vostros appear to be business machines, don't bank on it! ;)

Well it has tracked......Also I just got a phone call, it is being delivered on Tuesday!

Thanks for the info, however my one didn't, as previously mentioned on this thread. Matter now resolved by opening an enquiry with quidco regarding the missing cashback, also previously mentioned.;)

    is it wireless

    Yes it is wireless.
  • Got mine today for £316 through Quidco, and used my cash back credit card so got it for under £300. The spec on it is far superior to anything you can get at PC World and the like....
two and a half week delivery though... boo hiss... and why won't they let you get it delivered to an alternate address? I know for fact that no one is going to be in to recieve it, so i could save the courier the effort, but i couldn't find out who the courrier is....
2.5 weeks is enough time for most people to realise if theri credit cards have been used fraudulently so the security excuse doesn't hold that much weight...

I ordered on 16.01.08, got an expected delivery date of 04.02.08. I got a phone call yesterday for delivery on 23.01.08. Some people who ordered this on Hotdeals on the 16th have already had theirs.

I ordered the £327 - 00 one on Tuesday & Canceled yesterday & was told it was already with the courier in spite of the delivery date being 2 weeks, so Dell said I have to refuse delivery. I ordered the £316-00 one yesterday so I hope I don't refuse the wrong one.
    Nice to save.

Presumably you meant the £316 one! I hope there isn't a better deal going for £216!!

I ordered mine with the Truelife screen & travel remote - got it for £316 (and Quidco!) too - what a great deal. You'd struggle to find any laptop with a similar spec for less than £450 anywhere else.
