I checked quidco and it appears that they DO NOT give the 5% cashback on dell "small business". All vostros appear to be business machines, don't bank on it!
They definitely do - quote from the quidco page "5% for sale amount excluding VAT on Dell Small/Med Business or Dell Home". Maybe you mis-read the excluding VAT as excluding Small/Med Business?0 -

Hmmmm, you may be right I'll have to check as I ordered a vostro 1000 on 1/1/08 and to date, it has not tracked in my quidco, further investigation needed here I feel. Thank You.:o0 -
Yep. you're spot on, I mis-read it as excluding vat "and" small/med Business.
I have just opened an enquiry into my 5% quidco cash-back that I'd given up on, prior to your reply. 17 days+ does appear to be a long time to track mind you? Thanks again.0 -

I ordered a Dell computer last night. I went through Quidco and by this morning the cashback had been validated in my account.0 -
Does anyone know if it's ok to buy a "small business" machine from Dell, even if you're not a business user?
I only ask cos I'm a bit worried about the warranty side of things.0 -

What time did you order the laptop? I did it through Quidco at 10.45pm and it hasn't tracked yet.0 -

From what I understand you can, no problem, I have twice, remember to tick the box to pay the vat and that it will be for home use.
I think the business warranty is slightly different as you can't just return it because you don't like the look of it.
I noticed the base warranty on the home site was 90 days, whilst the base warranty on the small business is 12 months. So better coverage with small business I feel. But, I could be wrong. :rolleyes:0
