Write back and tell them that if it isn't sorted out within 7 days, you will sort it out by letting the courts decide. Then file a claim if they don't get it sorted in that time - you are the one calling the shots here, not them.

Legally they are on very thin ice - push them.

Thanks. It will have to wait until after Christmas now though unless she does it herself. Will speak to her tomorrow.

If you have an account with the nationwide - Worry

Seems they have problems and somone has called the balifs in.

So if they dont answer the phone - do they ever -

The balifs may have took the switchboard computer, phone etc from the receptionist.

Hope so now they know how it feels.... (Not that they have feelings)

Rafter that wouldn't help much! I had one of those with the Halifax, recently my Income Support wasn't paid in through no fault of my own (they actually told me "its because the computer did an automatic upgrade over the weekend"!) utter rubbish and thats another story but, because of the lack of IS going in I had insufficient funds to pay the 5 standing orders I have go out every week, Halifax can only charge you for 3 per day at £39 each (for not paying out a SO!?) each so were going to take £117 out of my account 7 days later, after a visit they begrudingly dropped 2 of the charges but insisited on leaving one, not having £39 left at the end of any week (I wish!) I had no option but to stop my IS going in the next week else I'd have 'lost' most of it, charge went on, plus another, plus the 'unauthorised overdraft' fee etc. etc. I am going to claim back the last two years (6 in total) of charges, I cannot claim back any more because I don't have the £5 in the account to pay for the list of charges! for two weeks they rang me at least twice a day to ask when I was going to credit my account, I said the same thing every call, I'm not, I'm going to claim back the charges.... same arguement, same comments, twice a day, "noted on my account" etc. have to say it's been quiet this week, perhaps that not a good sign?!
