The court route is the only thing they listen to. No amount of pleading, threatening etc... will get you anywhere.0

it wont actually get to court so dont worry. They will back out before then and refund you the cost of lodging the court application. Just stick with it, they dont want to be seen to back down too easily0

Went into the local branch and negotiated, they droped it to reasonable £20, from £79,(first post said £32 but there was more when the statment landed) acceped this rather than risk the court route, was going to push for all of it but all things considered happy to settle, still dont agree with it but there comes a point of diminishing return.
Thanks to all out there who gave me the confidence to even try rather than just accept it - no more roll over and die.
Thanks again.Start : 10-Dec-2005 £190,484.49 / 30-Jan-2006 £121,813.520 -

dchurch24 - please don't stop posting. If it means that those holier than than thou account holders have to pay for the services that their banks provide, rather than having all the banks' costs levied on the poor souls who get in trouble, then at least there will be a little more fairness in this world.0

I'm not stopping posting!!! I feel very strongly about these charges - I've just handed my notice in at work, and as a consequence I am having to work-my-butt off to get a project finished before xmas - the orig. deadline was 1st Feb, so I'm working all hours God sends at the moment (as I'm leaving on good terms and don't want to drop anyone in it) - sadly resulting in less MSE'ing!0

What can I say they didnt put the chardes back as they said they would so we issued an online summons.
Anyone know what to expect next ?Start : 10-Dec-2005 £190,484.49 / 30-Jan-2006 £121,813.520 -
My colleague has now received a reply to her letter stating that as she is a valued customer of longstanding (she is only 20) they are looking into matters but it could take three months to deal with.
Has anyone else had anything like this?0
