well before you do ...
i've just rated another song 6 out of 10 and have been penalised a star, but with only a 0.30% drop in accuracy. I was 95.12% (i think) and i have dropped to 94.72% but i have gone from 4 stars to 3 stars.
there is a rumour on the STP site that if you rate 6 songs the same in succession - i.e. 6 out of 10, 6 times on the trot - then you'll lose a star but my last 6 ratings have been 4,6,6,5,6,6.
Quite annoying I must say .. we'll see how (and if i suppose) i get the 4th star back.
*EDIT
3 songs down the line and the 4th star is back - and i still never dropped below 94.7% accuracy ...0 -
I think to save complication i'll just rate how i feel about the tracks, and if i lose a star then so be it! its still a few pennies in my pocket!Had my amazing little girlie 08/12/2007 - 11 days late! 9lbs 3oz
My second little girl entered the world 20/03/2010 - 11 days late! 8lbs 4oz
Sealed pot challenge 4 - 332
Make £11k in 2011 £0/£11000 - 0%
And lots of other challenges!

i think if that's what works best for you lauren then by all means go for it.
i guess with me, the money side of things is important so i need to concentrate more on maintaining accuracy to maintain the payment level.
i know it's not really in the spirit of the site, but then i guess the fact that they're so reliable in paying out real money for doing something like this is probably their one fatal flaw as well.0 -
am I the only person who opens a Word document and starts typing from the start of the track, that way once the track is 1 minute 30 seconds in I have a 80 -100 word review and can cut and paste, it saves the full minute that you cant type in the site rating box and means you can do at least another 10 maybe 15 reviews extra per hour?
also Im just about to take out my first payment from the site £40 and this is the first time ive used paypal, i set it up after i joined the site. can I just use a basic paypal account or do I have to upgrade for the sort of transactions that we are doing???0 -
Just been the 3rd, 4th, and 6th scout to review a track for the past three tracks - once my rating hardly moved, but others it changed by .5%. Is it better (not that you can do anything about it!) to be the millionth person to rate a track or the first? If you are the first, how do they calculate your rating?0

arghhhhh this site is soooooo confusing... i am still on 1 star and I was earning 3p per review. Now since they have changed the site it seems I earn (whatever that is) and I am not earning my pennies anymore.
Can anyone explain because this is doing my head in! x9 years and counting0 -
ohhhhhhhh ok i kind of get it.
Now the first £5 that you make as a new scout is in the form of a voucher which you can invest in an artist. I am guessing that after that you actually earn the money.
Well, here goes nothing!!!! xx9 years and counting0 -

basic paypal is fine, although if you keep having deposits of £20-£40 quid in it every few weeks they will eventually require you to get verified.
I personally wait until the review box has dropped down and start writing then because I personally don't see how you can start reviewing a song as soon as it starts and be genuine about it - it would be, to me anyway, something like "ok .. good intro .. the guitars that have just started are good .. here come the vocals .. " and so on.
anyway, i like listening to the stuff on the site - most of my reviews may well end up reading the same (which most of them probably do) but that's largely because i like pretty much everything ...0 -

thanks about the pay pal thing.
from the start i write about the intro, how it makes me feel, the pace, the length of intro, balance of the instruments against the vocals etc and then as the track progresses I write about any variations from the start if it grew as it went on and then sumarise0 -
Ok 93% acc and 250 eviews, Not seen my 3 stars yet.. Sob.
