Toluna Discussion (merged)

  • I ordered a voucher on the 11th October, and 2 more in November and still no sign of any of them. Of course, I've been emailing Toluna (not via their website - that page never seems to work), patiently waiting for a response and all I got was that info re delayed vouchers is on the blog, and then I got another email - a bounce back, and after that another email saying that they apologise and vouchers would be dispatched in January. Will let you know as soon as I receive anything.

Also, for those who did not notice (I didn't tbh) - I was also told that e vouchers don't come to your emaill address anymore but they go straight into your account (under vouchers).

Another problem that never seems to go away is missing points - so now I always make sure I write down the id number or at least the topic, date and number of points - I can't even be bothered to count how many times I had to chase up missing points, the last query took Toluna 6 months to resolve...

And don't get me started on surveys that crash or screen you out after you sat there for half an hour or more...

But despite not the best service, I must say that once you get the vouchers, it's great so I think I'll carry on, and in hope that one day I will either win a prize or test a product (in almost 3 years neither has occured...)

  • There is obviously a large amount of time that Toluna has money sitting in their account before they pay us/order our vouchers. In that time they must make SIGNIFICANT interest on this money. There's only so much time Amazon needs to process an order for voucher codes! If Toluna can't handle their membership demand, they should stop accepting new members so that they can honour the legal contract they enter into with us. A while back I read that a member here was considering legal action- any progress? Anyone with legal knowledge (or someone who works for Toluna/Amazon, if I am so lucky!) care to comment on this potential profit on the interest?

Waiting for my vouchers and a fufillment of legal obligations, in the meantime I am boycotting! Grrrrrr

Significant interest? What bank do you save with?

For every £million they will only make ~£4k before tax if it was in a "high" (used loosly) rate account in 8 weeks
    Survey earnings total 2009 £417, 2010 £875, 2011 £574

The status of the Love2Shop vouchers I ordered on 14th October has changed from 'processing' to processed.

I suppose this must be a positive step, may yet get them before next Christmas!
  • Yes, my paper vouchers from October are now showing as processed as well but have not received them yet.

Not sure where else to ask but is anyone doing the garnier survey? They were supposed to send the 1st survey but all I had so far is an email at the weekend saying that Toluna is having problems sending the survey links. So I emailed the project manager straight away but no reply from her. I already received the 14days supply of the face cream last week.

Does anyone do the surveys which follow on from the short polls on the home page?

Most don't seem to have a survey number, wondering whether anyone received rewards for doing these.

Yes, I often do those surveys. Some have the id number and some don't. What I do is that if there is no id number, I write down the topic (e.g. personal care, consumer topics etc), the date and the number of points and if available also the hosting partner such as nunwood, ipsos etc. I find that keeping these details is very helpful when chasing up missing points. And yes, when you finish the survey, you get the points as stated at the beginning of the survey and if you don't qualify, you get the sweepstakes entry. HTH.

I'm another unhappy "surveyer". Ordered my first Amazon voucher 31st October and still nothing.

As soon as I get it I will be closing my account. I am fed up with spending 10 - 15 minutes on surveys only to be told I am not eligible. Huh - how does that work - surely by that point in the survey they have gleaned most of the information they need - yet I get nothing.

I will save my time and effort on other survey sites that reward me fairly for my time.

Since they still arent emailling me surveys these are the only ones I am able to do at the moment - for the most part they seem to be credited within 24 hours (so far) but as baking mama said I do keep a record of them just in case I need to chase them up.
