Ahh but thats where you get hooked in- they will only send your vouchers (10 weeks down the line) provided your still a member and doing surveys for them. Once your in, you can never leave. Mwah hahahahaa!!
Bit like Hotel California. :rotfl:
But I am 600 points off my next voucher from them. This will be my third.0 -

I find I get screened out of Toluna more than any other survey company and it does annoy me if I'm quite a way into the survey. Getting to 60k points for just a tenner is hard work!
It happened to be before too, but there is a perfect reason to it... This survey was supposed to invite you to the Focus Group - if you do not wish to be a part of it, then the invitation, let's say, doesn't work and therefore you see no points.. Anyway, those invitations for Focus Groups are 5 minutes long.. Not a big deal, is it?0 -

Anyway, nobody is holding there by any kind of force - you registered (I hope!) in a good faith of changing something in the our world - what we eat, what's advertised, what we buy... it's all for us and they ask if we like certain thing...
Toluna is not a place for earning cash after all...0 -
got my vouchers today after 5 weeks.
buy bye tolunaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa0 -

Sorry if I gave you the wrong impression- and I was told by toluna themselves that they would only send me the vouchers as long as I was still a member- they emailed me that!
I am not there to earn cash, but I do think its only fair that they pay the points you are owed- so many of us do surveys and never see the points for them!0 -
It's worth hanging in there. Took me 14 months to earn my first voucher, 3 months for the 2nd and 5 months for the 3rd. Not been checking my emails regularly recently though.0

it took you 14 months to earn enough for 1 voucher? doesnt seem very worthwhile but more time consuming0 -

(1) changing what we eat - does anyone get asked about how much salt they want in food, etc? How does the survey result actually change what is eaten?
(2) what's advertised - perhaps it helps them decide on the angle they will take in advertising but will it actually stop them advertising a product or service entirely? I would expect the product to be more advanced in development to actually change what they are advertising.
(3) what we buy - well, it may well be another form of advertising to the people who respond to the surveys and bring things to our attention that we otherwise might not know. So in that way it would change what we personally buy. And if it has an effect on how they advertise, it could have an effect on what other people buy.
I must say I am a bid cynical about their surveys. From what I have been able to gather so far (given I get thrown out before completing), is that they are seeking information from which to offer mailing lists to other organisations. (I must go back and read the confidentiality document.)0 -

Please don't make assumptions. My 'invitation' to a focus group was a lot longer than 5 minutes. It was a long survey with a large number of points on offer which was why I complained at being screened out right near the end. There was absolutely no mention of a focus group until that point and if there had been I wouldn't have participated in the survey.
In the last 4/5 days I have had several invites each day to take part in surveys and have been screened out of every single one. It will probably take me about 14 months to get a voucher too and when I've got it I won't be doing any more Toluna surveys!Numpties...I'm surrounded by them...save me...:whistle:0 -
Do they not do the sainsbury's vouchers anymore? I finally got to 60,000 points and went to redeem them but there's no sainsbury's and I'm not interested in any of the other vouchers!0
