it's the egg muffins i'm addicted to, i keep nipping in for breakfast after taking my son to school. and now they've started doing those deli sandwiches, i'm quite keen on courgette at the moment so i had to have a veggie deli. am i growing a chav baby? should i get him a reebok baseball cap from the kays catalogue? :rotfl:

i suppose having the baby name on the cardigan would indicate a female child ... why newborn cardigans though sasha, isn't your baby due in august, or is my brain full of cotton wool again?
He's due Sept 3rd, so you're not far off. I don't know, I suppose she thought 'September' & then thought 'autumn' & it might get a bit chilly!

Don't be put off by these doubters. My wife likes to dress our 5 month old baby up to look pretty and a pink hedband she wears really finishes the outfits off nicely. Millie does have more hair than me though so it would look a bit daft on a bald baby I suppose! Think she gets them in most shops around-Matalan, George at Asda etc. Not sure why you cant find them.
No reliance should be placed on the above.

it might depend on where you are - my asda doesn't sell them but they're not popular here anyhow. i still haven't seen any. saw mother-in-law yesterday and she says they're popular where she lives, try market stalls in the scouse area.

petermog i'm sure your millie looks gorgeous, it's the bald heads we're doubtful of.

Oh yes - definatley not on the baldies!!!

It's been completely opposite with me - I went right off the maccy D's.

I don't like children's names visible on their clothes (I hate those headbands with names on). Perhaps it's just me being paranoid, but what's stopping some perv coming up to your child and taking them away. The kid will just think that if the person knows their name they must know them. Doesn't bear thinking about.

yes i think the same about children wearing their names, i don't suppose it matters too much on a baby but i wouldn't want it on a toddler.

For a short time, our school photos came with the names of the kids at the bottom, which made a lovely reminder for the kids in years to come. It stopped, though, for fear of pervs identifying a child at school, and calling for them by name. Shame, but necessary I suppose.

    Baby headbands. No thanks!

Headbands on adults aren't always brilliant either - look at some of the ones Vanessa wears on Big Brother, bright pink with a huge fake pink flower.

    Nice.

This post cheered up my Thursday afternoon. I haven't seen a baby with a headband on for ages - but they can look like junior Jackie Stallones and they are especially bad on baldy babies.

Maybe Macdonalds could give them away with their happy meals, along with earrings and cheap gold jewellery, especially jewelled clown pendants! How about a Burberry check headband - ha!

My hairdresser told me not to cut a fringe into my daughter's hair when she was a baby (she was born with loads of hair and now has really long hair with no fringe) and yes at about 18 months it was in her eyes, but she did let me twist it up into a little sprout on top which she didn't pull out - although on occasion I couldn't battle with her and she went out looking like Cousin It from the Addams Family!

I also ahd a MacDonalds obsession when I was in my 1st 3 months - I loved the egg and sausage McMuffin - then they made me feel revolting for the next 6 months and guess what my lovely hubby brought me in hospital - a Macdonald's breakfast! Actually I've hardly had one since (5 years ago) so it must have been a preggy thing. My little one occasionally goes when she can twist my arm, but she only wants the chips and the toy. I love the McFlurrys but they are not good for my waistline.
